does anyone know if the antibiotic "flagyl" can cause thrush or yeast infections? does thrush ever produce ulcers on the back of tongue?
so, i read that oral thrush and dry cough are the symptoms of advanced hiv (aids) and not associated with ARS, (which consists of fever, swollen lymph nodes, diarhea adn other 'flu like' symptoms) and it usually takes years for hiv to advance to aids. so, if my possible exposure was three weeks ago, would i be right to assume that the following symptoms would not be associated with an HIV infection? [note: I have been on the antibiotic 'flagyl' (500 mg two times per day) for almost a week now and this all started a few days after beginningn the antibiotic]
-furry white coating on tongue
-raised, fleshy bumps on very back of tongue
-sore throat w/ a dry cough (itchy)
-yeast in armpits
If you have only been on flagyl for a week it is not causing thrush nor is it a cause for your white tongue. It's normal to have a white film on your tongue.
but are these symptoms that would show up with ARSthen? i readon what seemed like a reputable site about hiv/aids that these problems are the symptoms of HIV progressing into AIDS, which would definitely not be my problem becuase my possible exposure was so recently.
