Hi, I have sex with a prositute en singapore, at the end the condom got broken, I probably could stay inside with it for 20 sec or so, after that I clean with alot of water and soap, I went to ER and the told me the risk of infecction is low but recommend to do the PEP,  I started taking medication like 6 hours after issue.
what is the risk  that I got infeccted? , the PEP will really help. The status of the prositute is unknown eventhough she say is clean. What should I do? I'm scared.

your test is RELIABLE and CONCLUSIVE.  you do NOT need further testing.

Thanks, I think I started the PEP recommend by my doctor, the clinic told me that the posibilty are minumum but exist a posibility that is why the recommend to go for PEP,what are your thoughts about it

Anti-viral drugs are very toxic and can cause irreversible severe liver and kidney damage along with death. It's not like taking an antibiotic or an aspirin. Reason they are only recommended to those that have had an exposure to a person known to be HIV positive.

If you wish take a test at 6-8 weeks post exposure and if negative test again at 3 months for a conclusive test result.
