Ilovemygirlfriend

whats up dude, how u feeling today? i went to my regular doctor today for the first time, Ive only got to see his assistants and what not. I had him feel my swollen glands and he referred to them as "non-pathological" or, non abnormal and nothing to worry about.  He did a full body physical and checked for other glands, didnt find any. he also checked my liver and spleen to see if they were enlarged (lymphoma I think) and they were fine.  I told him about my 9 week negative test, he said thats good, but to test to 6 months (doctor stuff).  My mom went with me, she was like all crying and upset telling him I have anxiety and that my family can't deal with it anymore, I need help blah blah. So, he gave me Lexapro. I guess Ill give it a try, it can't hurt I suppose. just wanted to check in with ya, I think u mentioned u had a doc appointment today didnt you? let me know how it went/goes.

well thats why its a good thing your here, because I think everyone feels the same way you do, some people get annoyed even here too I think.  I mean have a NINE week negative and Im still scared, so I cant blame you one bit.  Six weeks is a good thing though, for sure! When I was negative at five weeks I just kept thinking "omigod, Im gonna seroconvert right at the six week mark and miss it" But now its nine weeks, so what can I say??  that Im gonna seroconvert after nine weeks?? it seems pretty unlikely, but hey, its a brain thing.

Yeah me to, Its like if i look at my risk, then look at my 6 week result. I should be fine but i worry so much. Its hard not to. My family is tired of hearing me talk about it to and so are my friends. It makes them mad that im being this paranoid.

yeah I know about the 6-12 week thing, I think most doctors just tell people that because they have too or what not.  Even the nurse at the clinic told me that most people test positive within 25-28 days. She told me my result was conclusive and to go celebrate, yet, Im finding it hard to.  Im still waitin for that 13 week mark myself, I dont think Ill be completely alright until it comes, just like you.  Im glad we have it in the same week though, for sure.

NO i dont have a doctor appointment or anything, I feel fine just and anxiety bitten and stuff thats about it. Im still waiting until that 12 week mark even though eveyone says that i dont need to.  I think that you said that you live in Michigan right. Well were i live the official testing time is 12 weeks. I think that most of the USA is 12 weeks so dont worry about what the doc said about 6 months. He is probably a general doctor and is not an HIV/STD expert.  HIV experts will tell you 6-12 weeks depending on risk.
