Worried to death.

Hi everyone,  
I am a hetrosexual healthy male in my mid 40's.  Married happily with kids.  Back in August 2nd I made a very bad judgment of having sex with a sex worker at a message parlor.  I did use a condom and the act lasted about 5 minutes.  Nothing rough, very simple and quick.  As far as I can remember the condom did not break.  It was dark in the room so I couldn't say for sure but I don't think it did.  I've been terrified since then.  I've had headaches, sore on my tonuge, and a small rash under my armpit that went away.  I tested negative at 5, 6 1/2, 8, and 9 weeks.  I started to feel better about my odds until I came down with a bad sore throat at week 9 the day of the test.  I went to the Dr. and I have Pharangitis with white puss on the tonsils.  I was prescribed antibiotics and after 2 days pain and puss went away.  On the fourth day I have runny nose and head ache.  I am terrified.  Could this be a symtom of late ARS?  Could I be one of the rare cases?  I've had no fever, enlarged nodes or sweating.  Thank you and God bless.

Anyone?  I am freaking out because my sore throat with tonisil pus when away in two days(penecillin) and runny nose and headache in 5 days.  Don't flu run a little longer.  I read that ars sysmtpoms are short.  I tested at 9.7 weeks (yesterday) and it was negative.  Do you think if that was ARS I would have teste positive.  Thanks for the response.

One more question.  If someone is experiencing true ARS symptoms, how long after the initial symptoms you would have to wait to test positive?  Same day? Couple of days later or a month?

I did see a Dr on Monday and she gave me penecillian for the sore throat.  How could she tell the difference between a common cold or HIV?  All she did was examine the visual signs , look at my throat and said I had Pharangitis.  I understand everything you are saying, but just asking if symptoms do appear this late.

This is not an HIV concern. See your doctor for your signs and symptoms.

Today is the day four of my cold, flu.  The sore throat went away at day 2 but I have runny nose, mild headache, sneazing and puffy eyes.  I still can't get it out of my mind that this could be ARS related.  How long do the symtoms of ARS last anyway?

OK I trust you guys.  For some sick reason in my head I think everyone is wrong, but I trust you.  It is horrific what goes on your mind when you face such issues.  I don't know why worst case scenario is constantly poping up in my mind.  The great thing out of this entire exprience is been for me not to make dumb mistakes.  Nothing in this world is worth putting your family in jeopardy, and I failed big time.  For five minutes of selfish pleasure I've effected so many lives.  God willing if I make it ok out of this I know what my role is going to be.  Thank you guys again for your answers.

condom failure is catastrophic!!!  mr willie's head will bust through the end and the condom will look like a frayed hula hoop around your penis.

It's very obivious and your 9 weeks symptoms have nothing to do with ARS,

Thank you Teak for responding so quickly.  I've never had a broken condom in my life so I guess that's the doubt I have.  When a condom breaks is it pretty obivous?  Sound, complete tear or small whole?  Also, you don't think my flu like sysmptoms at week 9 are SARs realted?

You didn't have a risk to begin with. Had the condom failed you would have known it.
