Im sorry im back. But these symptoms are scaring me...

Ok. So I posted about 2 or 3 weeks ago about possible exposure about 1 1/2 years ago with my ex boyfriend. We had protected sex 3 times ever (condom did not break as far as I saw), and I recieved oral sex once and he fingered me once. I was a virgin and i was wondering if when he deflowered me and when I recieved oral, that I could've possibly been infected. I was told that my chances were near to 0 but im still kinda worried. :(

So now, 1 and half years later, Im getting these weird on and off symptoms. On and off diarrhea (diarrhea been around since march after eating food from subway. It lasted the first time for about a week, went away for about 2 weeks, came back after I ate a burger, it lasted for about 4 days, went away for about 2 or 3 more weeks, came back after I ate a cup of noodles yesturday, and I think it's getting better today), I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night with a slightly sweaty neck, and my hands are cold alot of times. I also feel nausiated on rare occasions too.

I know my risk was very low but still. Im afraid of these symptoms and i've been thinking it is late stage HIV. Im going to the hospital today btw...Does my symptoms sound anything like hiv? or might it just be IBS or celiac disease or something?

Late stage HIV, you would not even be able to walk around eating so much food like that:), and diarreha is not the only symptoms for late stage HIV, if the condom did not break then you should be fine, instead of worrying go get tested so you can move on.

First, using a condom, you were protected, even IF he had HIV. To my knowledge there are no documented cases of HIV transmission through fingering. Oral sex is very low risk. The symptoms you been having sounds like food poisoning to me, plus a lot of anxiety, which causes some of the others things you've been feeling. I'm not an expert on the area, but I'm pretty sure HIV doesn't develop into AIDS in less than 2 years.

I agree with Scare. Why don't you go and have a rapid test done? I'm saying this not because I think you need it, but just because I know it will be the only thing that will definitely end all your fears. A result now would be 1000% conclusive.

Beto,

Since I started visiting this site, I can only remember seeing 2 people with positive results. One was a girl who had multiple exposures with a HIV+ guy. The other one was a gay male with multiple exposures also. I don't usually visit other websites, because there is a lot of misinformation out there.

yea, i am aware that it takes from 7 to 10 years for hiv to develope in to AIDS, and it's been about 1 and half years since I last had intercourse with my ex. I never had any previous partners in the past btw. Im just very afraid because of the diarrhea on and off, and I read that is a symptom of AIDS. Other than the on and off diarrhea for 2 months, sometimes waking up in the middle of night with slight sweaty neck, and cold hands, im pretty much ok. No sore joints, no soaking night sweats, and I haven't been sick since december/january. I sometimes get slight chills (but it's been cold over here for the past few months and i've always been very thin) and I sometimes get a bit of white stuff on my tongue after i'm done crying (which i've found myself doing alot lately) But the bulk of my anxiety is because my ex has been known to lie to me about things. Even the smallest things. :(

Im worried that maybe he's lied to me about his health. And im concerned about the diarrhea because i worry about everything I eat, and usually noodles, rice and very spicy food activates this problem. (I am asian. I eat rice or noodles with my family almost every night so this is a problem.)

You know your diarrhea can't be due to aids. Cold hands, chills and "waking up in the middle of night with slight sweaty neck" are all symptoms of anxiety. Diarrhea itself can be also due to anxiety. Above all, symptoms are never a reliable indicator of HIV infection. Can you imagine how many not serious infections can give you diarrhea? Hundreds, much more common than HIV. White tongue is often a side effect of many medications or stress.

You are azn and you eat spicy food, yes indeed spciy food will make u drop a few liquid bombs in the bathroom. He lies to you and that is y u used condoms, if the condom did not break then hiv is nonexistent!!! If you dont remember if the condom break, as i try to assure myself now, go to you tube and type in "safe sex", and you can see how strong condoms are actually. And do a search on how they test each condoms with electrical charge, thats one way you can reassure urself and me:) Diarreha is one symptoms of hiv, but it does not come by itself, go look for late stage AIDS symptoms, you will have all those things happening to u. So go get tested! The odds of u having AIDS is 0^100000.

Thanks jo and scared. You're words really have given me some assurance. the funny video gave me a bit of peace of mind. But would you truely know if the condom broke? I checked the condom each time after we were finished and I did not see any leaks.

When a condom fails there is no doubt about it. It looks like a grass skirt on a penis.
