HIV question

Hello,

I have tested for PCR DNA for HIV at 25 days post exposure (unprotective insertive vaginal sex with complete stranger cocaine user)  and at 6 weeks rapid test and elisa test at 8 weeks ( 2 days) short and for all other stds

my GP at the university said that testing after this is not warranted

I know that cdc recommends 3 months

SHOULD I GO BY MY GP WORDS OR SHOULD I GET TESTED AGAIN?

there are no test approved, marketed and sold to give a conclusive test result earlier than 3 months post exposure.

a test at 8 weeks is HIGHLY indicative of your status...but follow up at 3 months to get that conclusive result.

If you can accept that, then great. I think that your doctors know the best!
