Is there a chance of HIV negative

Hi,

I'm 35 male and made a biggest mistake of life 3 weeks ago. I was quite drunk and met a girl in the train with whom I did a unprotected vaginal sex. As I finished, I saw my penis soaked in blood. Ran to home and in an hours time I took a bath and washed my private area completely.

On 11th day I took the PCR RNA test which came out negative. The test is qualitative and I know is not reliable.
Last week the girl met me again and I got to know that she is having AIDS and not taking any medication.
I'll be going to take the DUO test on 28th day but it is difficult to pass each day as I'm scared to death.

I'm really upset and don't know what I can do to rectify this.

Post 1 week of the incident, I started feeling fatigue, sore throat all the time.

Just want to know is there any slight chance that I cannot get HIV? Is there any hope?

Those symptoms are likely in your imagination. However, this is not a diagnostic forum so you have to see your doctor about your concerns since they have nothing to do with HIV.
It will be abnormal to do more HIV testing for this disease you already know you can't have, so maybe you can ask your doctor to discuss therapy.

Are you only testing for HIV or other STD's as well? It might not be HIV as the test shows that, but it can be something else? Most STD's are treatable so go fully test.

Thanks @Papuh for replying back.
Im in 7.5 weeks now from the day of incident.

I've tested for all STDs on 29th day and all came out to be negative. Do you think I should repeat them at the end of 3 months?
Below are few symptoms which are bothering me:

A. I've swollen lymph nodes ( I can feel them under the jaw though but not so enlarged which other people can notice it) since 4 weeks now.

B. Yellowish Urination.

C. Weight loss 4 Kgs

I'm planning to go for HIV testing post 8 weeks. Or these could be stds?

I took a DUO test post 28 days and result came out to be 'Not detected'.

Its been 5 weeks now and since couple of days I'm having flu like symptoms i.e. fatigue and light phlegm getting generated. Past 2 days, I've lymph node under my jaw which is making me restless.

What should be my next step?
Can I go for another DUO test or antibody test in 6th week.
Or should I wait for 8th week and get these tests done.

The test was conclusive after 28 as I mentioned, so you don't have HIV. Likely you have psychosomatic fatigue because you are trying to self-diagnose and don't feel comfy with your guesses since you suspect HIV. However since you have no medical training, your self-diagnosis is going to be wrong.
Lymph swell for many reasons (and this swelling may all just be in your head), but people fearing HIV always think it is ARS - everyone posting on this forum thinks they have ARS, but none did in the time I have been here.
Thanks @AnxiousNoMore for replying back, so you recommend no further testing?
We use 28 day guidelines, so what else can i say?

For a once off vaginal entercourse chance are very slim and the raito is 1/2000 for a male so it's very low.
And HIV symptoms r not show to the person as quickly as you are having. Symptoms start to show after the enquebeting period which is from 3-6 weeks, and start with flue . And when I say flue it mean severely.
I am sure you will be ok.and please do not search too much on internet cause mostly are confused and outdated.

Symptoms aren't used to diagnose so try to ignore them as they can be from anything. There is lots of hope that you don't have HIV as not every vaginal episode with an HIV woman results in transmission. Your % chance is unquantifiable since there is just one of you so don't bother searching the internet looking for more answers because they don't exist - and there is no peace there either. You presently know all there is to know.

Try to bear in mind that worrying does not spread disease and keep your mind occupied as much as possible until 28.

Thanks for the reply.

But I'm looking for someone who can give me some assurance ( if he / or his known has faced same situation ) or can confirm that there is no hope.
I haven't seen anyone test positive since I started watching this forum so you will be able to get the anecdotal proof you wish for, if you just hunt around other threads.
However the more you hunt the more fearful you will become, so you are best to occupy your mind with more peaceful things than reading about something that only a test will provide an answer to.
You seem convinced you are going to die, so perhaps talk to your doc or a therapist if your anxiety gets out of control while waiting for 28.
