I had an unprotected sex with a woman I do not know anything about(probably a prostitute).
Sexual contact was almost a year ago(11 months and couple of days).
During this period of time I got tested in that order :
- 10 days after contact -> PCR test
- 84th day after contact -> Rapid blood test called Anti-HIV 1/2 (either 3rd or 4th generation)
--on the same day I got tested for HepB(two different tests) and HepC.
- About 8th month after contact ->Rapid blood test (Different from previous one. Probably 3rd generation).
- 10th month after contact -> HIV Combi ECLIA (4th gen. test with 100% sensitivity and 99.8% specificity. Looks for antibodies and p24 antigen).
Reason behind my 3rd test on 8th month was that I had 5-6 molluscums on my arm. Googled and read that HIV patients have it. Got scared and that is why I took that test. I had those mollscums removed using electric coagulation. Only scars remain now.
Reason behind my last test was that I had Folliculitis in armpits. Dermatologist said that it was either from sweating or from shaving. But still, I'm anxious.
Now I have oral mucocele but probably from stress or my teeth retainers.
My infectionist said that there is no way of testing positive after you tested negative after 6th month. How true is that?
