Help from the Good People on the forum

Hi all,

First, let me say that i am truly thankful for your advice and support you have given to the many WW's on this site....

On to my question

I am 34 y/o and in relavtively good health.  ~ 57 days ago, I had protected sex and unprotected oral(received a BJ) from a woman that i know -she appears to be health conscious and I insisted on condoms.

~ 3 weeks, I gave a BJ to a TS that was brief in nature(perhaps 5 mins, prob less) - it was also protected (the TS was wearing a condom) and there was no insertive sex.

~ 1 week ago - I was at a strip club and received a BJ - no condom - again this was brief ~ 5 mins, perhaps less - there was also some grinding - but no penetration.

Now, after scouring the forum to and fro - I am guessing that I should have no real risk of acq HIV - although the chance for some other STD is possible - however, other than my anxiety - i have not had any meaningful symptoms - no fever, rash, (only thing was a cold sore - but i do get them from time to time - so that was not alarming) -

I am in a commited relationship and feel awful for my behavior - which i will have to reconcile on my own - but from a risk perspective - what do u think and should i get tested

Testing background - I had mutiple tests this year all neg and one PCR test ~ Sept that was neg -

As you all want on the forum - i want to be safe too - and I think i am being so - just want to make sure that you guys feel the same - thx for all your help

No risk of hiv.  The only theoretical thing you can acquire would be herpes 1.  Chances are you already have it orally anyway.  If you don't, then the women would have to had been shedding the virus on her mouth at the time.  People with herpes 1 (or oral herpes) shed the virus seldomly, so it's HIGHLY unlikely this took place.  You can also acquire ghonnorea through oral, although rare.  But you mentioned nothing of any discharge, so it's safe to assume that didn't happen either.  Both std's are UNLIKELY circumstances.  I don't reccomend testing.  All your penetration was protected.  Condoms are 99% effective.

Sparkeler - thnx sooooo much for taking the time to respond....so you really believe that I will be ok???

I guess the only really scary episode was the TS - with me giving oral to another man - was first time - and i feel awful about it - but, like I said the person was wearing a condom (and it was brief - like i said prob less than 5 mins) - so that should protect me from gonhorrea of my throat right and also taking the low risk activity of oral and a making it lower  - right????

again - thnx so much

Yes your ok.  I've never used protection for oral and don't really know anyone who has.  I actually tried if for a second with my bf for the first time yesterday just for kicks.  Yea that lasted about a second.  He said he couldn't feel a thing, lol. You were extra safe.  You are safe from ghonnorea of the throat.  My guess it's anxiety over the incident.  YOUR FINE!

thnx again sparkeler - u really have made me put my mind at ease - last question - lets say I want to test - just for peace of mind

and i really dont want to wait 6 weeks - would a test @ 28 days - which would be next week for the TS encouter and 14 days after the BJ from stripper (god just typing this out i feel like im on some kind of soap opera) how confident should i feel about my results.... also it would be 60+ days after the incident with the woman that i had protected vag/unprotected oral

again - sorry to keep asking questions - but u seem to have your knowledge together on the subject!!

90% of people will seroconvert to positive by 26 days.  So the test would be very reliable.  If it will help you sleep better at night, I say go for it.
