Likelihood of risk follow-up

What are my chances of contracting HIV if there was menstrual blood on my penis following unprotected sex with a middle-aged white female from Vermont, USA who tested negative 3 months prior (still waiting on her recent results). I did not notice because I was too drunk until 2 hours afterwards (dried blood). Is there a very high likelihood of catching HIV because of the presence menstrual blood. I am circumcised, no STDs on my end and sex only lasted about 3 minutes before I was oh crap. I am also currently on day 8 of PEP (Atripla). Thanks for your help. I have learned my lesson regardless of the outcome.

Hi James,

Thanks for the response. Sorry I meant to say if she tests negative this week and hasnt had unprotected sex in the 3-6 months prior to this there is NO chance I have HIV, correct?

Yes. But in the end, only your test at the appropriate time matters

If she tests negative in this most recent test (she's expecting to) and claims she has not had unprotected sex prior to me, the likelihood of me having HIV is very slim, correct?

Is the likelihood of infection low; are the odds with me? How many people usually test positive in this case?

I wouldn't worry about the fact there was menstrual blood considering the fact you had a risk from unprotected sex. Take an antibody test 6-8 weeks after finalizing PEP then 3 months for a conclusive result.
