Lymph node

Hi,
I had a very very low risk exposure 15 days back which this forum as well as the doctor i went to see cited as no risk and hence no testing needed.
Now for the past 2-3 days I have noticed a painless slight elevation of a small area behind my right ear which although not visible by eye but can be felt by fingers although not easily. I have had no pain, no fever and no symptom of any infection.
My question is does the swelling of lymph node appear suddenly or it comes on gradually over a period of 3-4 days and is it accompanied by pain or fever, itching  or anything else??

Symptoms are NEVER a way of determining your HIV status as there are no HIV specific HIv symptoms.  If you have had an exposure (and it does not appear that you have) then you need to have a test 3 months after to have a conclusive result.  No one can diagnose you over the internet.  If you are concerned, you should see your doctor.
