Medication and testing

I performed oral sex on a women stripper at the end of may.  I am scheduled to do an HIV test but had a few questions...

1) I got diagnosed with alopecia areata in July and started receiving steriods injections in my scalp in sept,  will this affect the HIV test?  I have had 3 appointments with injections...sept, oct and 1 week ago.

2) I was away and got food poising last week and just finished a 7 day course of cipro...would either the sickness or cipro affect the test results?

I am scared mainly because I developed alopecia areata...when I looked hard enough there are a few that say HIV may be a trigger....I am 34 and have never had this before....have any of you seen this to be common in HIV positive people?

"But there are some sites that say HIV might be a cause?"

STOP GOOGLING ! ! !   you'll end up reading "somewhere" that a bruised big toe is a sign of hiv too.

in order for "anything" to be associated with hiv infection...FIRST you would have had to be infected.  YOU HAD NO RISK ! ! !

But there are some sites that say HIV might be a cause?  Dr Garcia gonzolas says they are not related?  I am so confused...I truly want to let this go but this alopecia thing is haunting me...

This is an HIV specific board.  Post your alopecia question on the appropriate board for help with that problem.

Isn't weird to get alopecia areata at 34?  This is what sparked my concern.

If you have been told you have no risk then why would you ask if you needed testing?  Do you always test for stuff that you have no chance of having? Seems like you waste a lot of time and money in unnecessary testing for diseases when what you really need is a psychiatrist.

So I don't need to put myself through the stress of testing?
