My Dr said he can get my elisa test results in 48 hrs.
Mr dr said he can get my elisa test results in 48 hrs is this true? He put it in as stat but the lady at the lab said there is no stat for hiv tests. How long should i expect to wait.
3mos test in after my stupid sex with the girl from work. Test neg. Thank goodness. Anxiety much lower now. I have nothing dripping from my penis no sores or anything just some soar muscles prob from my bed so i dont think i have anything to worry about. NO MORE STUPID BEHAVIOR. The only person i will ever be with for the rest of my life is my wife. I would rather never have sex again than to have that kind of worry. THANKS SO MUCH FOR PUTTING UP WITH ME. Sounds like they run the test in batches, and they collect all results they have every 3 days. Some people who work in labs have no idea on how to handle customers and they are insensitive to the anxiety that one feels during the window period. Try not to worry, the fact that they said Tuesday says nothing about your status. It looks like they just haven't ran the sample yet.
ELISA tests can be preformed within a couple of hours depending only with the lab. Labs give a turn around of up to two weeks to get your results back. I have no idea what you doctor is talking about checking every three minutes. You didn't have a risk anyway from receiving oral sex.
Ok went for my results yesterday. They called lab they said my test is pending. My dr said wait 10 min and ill get your results. 10 min past they called again and spoke to a manager atleast thats what they told me. Than my dr comes back and says they check the results every 3 days and ill get the results on tuesday. if i took my test on wed how the heck is tuesday 3 days. Does this meen that it came back positive and they have to recheck. This has me a little freaked out. Iv comet to terms with mabie i have hiv. I just cant stand the not knowing. I just want to move on with my life. If it came back positive they would have to tell me right even before they do the western blot.
