Need help...

Back to 5 months ago, I have sex with a girl that I’m not sure what her health status. Later I realized that before I’m slept with her, I already been infected by gonorrhea. After 2 weeks, I start feeling ill (fever, flu, muscle pain, few more symptoms – which I think due to virus infection). I went to me my doctor and there where I realized that I have gonorrhea. He gives an antibiotic for the gonorrhea and asks me to take the HIV test. 6 weeks after slept with the girl, I went for HIV test (ELISA) and the result is negative. However, right now (after 5 months) I’m having some other symptoms like dry/burning mouth, tiny red spot all over my body and also my head, a rough at my palate. My questions are:

1. Is this the symptoms of HIV infection?
2. Can the antibiotic taken for my gonorrhea treatment affect the HIV antibody screening? And how accurate the result of HIV testing that I have taken before?
3. What is the possibility of the HIV infection if I’m exposed to it with having untreated gonorrhea before?

I’m very worried and will going for my 2nd HIV test this coming Monday. My confident level is very low right now

I would suggest , if you haven't already, take a full STD panel.

1) There are NO symptoms of HIV infection.
2) Gonorrhea treatments DO NOT effect an HIV test. Your test at 6 weeks is reassuring, but you still need another at 13 weeks .
3) Having another STD does increase the risk of contracting HIV, ONLY if your partner has HIV, that you don't know. Remember your 6 week negative .

You must retest, that you know. Monday is coming quickly. Take a deep breath, relax and go collect your NEGATIVE CONCLUSIVE test result.

Although 6 week negative results are encouraging they are not conclusive.

Just take this test and be careful in the future.
