Need i have a test for HIV? TEAK, PLS HELP!

Dear Professor Hunter H. Handsfield,

Good Day!

Thanks for your attention to take a look at my thread. I am a 24 years old Male from Hong Kong who now live in mainland China.

I have 2 questions to need your simple and clear answer by return. Here is my situation:

Last Month, I had protective vaginal sex with a CSW here in China. Because during the sex, she put out the condom and put it on my penis. Then we started, there was no ejaculation inside her vagina. i finished the ejaculation when she did handjob for me. And during this period, she withdrawed the condom on my penis for me.

During the whole process, my BIGGEST MISTAKE is that i didn't pay attention to whether the condom was broke or not. I didn't see the status when she was putting it on y penis, nor when she was withdrawing it from my penis. Although i knew that the condom was a new one before we started.

Right now i am very worried that the condom may probably been broken when my penis was in her vagina. Because i really didn't pay any attention to condom during that time. So my question is:

1. How much ODDS can i get HIV from this event?  And do i need a HIV test after 3 months later?

2. Can the condom break when i didn't noticed it at all? Because i really didn't pay any attention to the condom during the sex. If so, what the ODDS will be?

I'm very eagerly looking forward to your help, as i am really very worried about my episode. And thanks for your kindly help and response in advance!

My only recommendation is to have a basic STD panel done to rule out any other STD infections.  NO HIV TEST IS NEEDED!

Thanks so much for your detail answer. SO i have no need to test for HIV? Actually, I didn't have any rough feeling when removing my penis together with condom from her vagina. And soe smooth feeling just. I think just it is anxiety and fear drove me to believe that i was contracted HIV , and on the other hand, i am not willing to make any test for HIV, because if the result is pos., then i will be mad. I think.

If a condom breaks, it does so catastrophically....it ends up either like a hula hoop around the base of your penis, or like a peeled banana skin...either way, you BOTH would have noticed without a shadow of a doubt.

The only thing you may want to do is have an STD panel done to test for STD's OTHER than HIV.  Other STD's (gonorrhea, etc) are much more common and easily transmittable.  Those tests are conclusive just 3 days after an encounter.  So, for your peace of mind, and to protect your GF, have a basic set of tests done, and then move on.

NO HIV risk whatsoever, though...you are in the clear for that!

OK, i see.  Then i can feel relax. Really appreciate, Lizzie. So can i return to normal life and have regular sex with my girl friend from now?  I haven't had sex with her for more than 3 weeks by now, after that episode.

there is NO WAY IN HELL that she wouldnt have noticed :)

a condom break is catastrophic and would have looked like a frayed hula hoop around your penis.  it is not some little microscopic hole.

yes, but as the possibility just exsists. So i had those feelings. Do you think that is it possible that she also didn't notice when the condom failed? ?

I'm sorry for asking questions but as it is maybe my last question, i need the clear and definate answer, Thanks, LIZZIE!

Thanks, Teak and LIZZIE. but as i described above, i didn't pay any attention about the condom during the whole sex.  So is there any possibility that the condom broke without my notice? Because i didn't see the condom when the CSW was withdrawing it from my penis.    Thanks for your attention in advance!

i'd be willing to bet that if the condom broke...you would know about it.  professionals use condoms to protect THEMSELVES from YOU giving them something.  she would have been upset ! ! !
