I had my first ever and a very brief (abt less than 1min) protected vaginal sex with a prost in south asia. I m feeling very guilty about it.. !! the condom dint break as whn i was done... i saw the sperm was collected in it.. but by any chance.. if there was micro-leakgage..which i dint c or something..??
after a month I have sore throat and some pain in the left lower part of stomuch. some itching too... please help doctor.. am  I infected... ???? please.. please please...!!! I am dying of thinking about all this..!!

i am in the same case study as urs, U  only have back pain my friend- I had and having every pain in the body and been to extreme fatigue for almost 50 days now. I dont know whether its the guilty feeling or anxiety or depression. Everybody from the first day where saying-(Including Dr H) i was at no risk and no test warranted. Still my mind says something def went upside down. but i had my 25 days and 43 days HIV duo Test negative. So now i started to feel confidence and going for the test next week which would be 9 th week. Bottom Line---Never leave a single question inside the head--Just get tested---We cant escape the reality--We have to face it today or tommorow...I hope we both turn out safe and leave a normal life again..God's--Ishwar's Willing---

thanks once again.. !! I got a great releaf after this , undoubtedly. But, my sore throat is coming and going..in and out with lot of pain in lower back these days which hopefully should b due to some thing esle.. but a lot of indian sites about hiv state that condoms are not 100% safe even when used correctly + the symptoms and the period in which they are coming up are like.. making me think for something, which many people think I dont even have to get close to it (HIV). Apart from this, the fact that ruiens my life furthur with all this is that she was a CSW and when i asked her about her status indirectly she answerd, "kuch nahi hoga, hum nirodh use karnege"- means nothing will happen we will use a condom. ???? all this and my mind starts playing tricks... u know how it is when something like this happens .A big MISTAKE.. !!

You know what ? I had a mild fever (101 F), accompanied with severe sore throat, oral ulcer and nasal drip the other day. In fact the sore throat and the drip is still bothering me. Doesn't it seems like HIV ARS symptoms ? Guess what ? I did not have an exposure lately. So, how can I get ARS symptoms ? OMG!!!!

Lets face it, the symptoms that you are describing is so common and unrelated to HIV. Understand that you didn't even have risk. Sore throat and all that bull **** just happens...has nothing to do with HIV.

You need to seek mental help. HIV is not your problem.

so happy to see u.. well why bcos the city u belong to is the where I reside and got this exposure headahce from!! i love this city very much.. any ways.. thanks for the display name stuff.. its actually wht I am right now. To the point of the risk assesment, u may be knowing the things way better than me. thanks for saying "NO RISK" for me.. but i m getting worried about the sore throat (swollen glands ??? are they one..) and some site I reffer yesterday, saying wht all is happing to me can be ARC symptoms which has horrofied me friend. Can ARC be the case of my symptoms and well are ARC a gateway to HIV ? I know most people who will read my post will have one name for me .. tht is FOOL!! but i m ready to take that unless I get my questions answerd or at least assesed, I am just seeking some one who actually tries to enter my situation (or has a similar exposure sort off) and all who have answered me and forthly coming ones.. hearteist thanks and long live wishes from me ever.

I like your display name, however what I feel is that how can we help some one who's not redy to accept help ? And guess what ? It's only you who can help yourself because you never had a risk to begin with and you need to deal with your mind. You need to see a shrink !

I had lost the concern about it.. but i read somewhere tht wht all  tht is happinin to me is nearing to symptoms. Please, let me know . wht if my penins opening had got in contact with her vaigina (worst come worst case) for the whole period (off abt 1-2 mins max) with a condom on (which she bought and helped me put on and out before and after). I know i may be silly but just for your info. friends, i had seen "condom" for first time in my life and have very less to slim knowledge at all abt it. My ideal mind is playing lot of tricks, if's but's and just then, the 31st day after exposure, the above said things come up. In such situations, mind also throws us alone and leaves me alone for ading more frustration. My question is now.. that even if it would be totally unprotected (not in my case at all), what are the chances of getting infected in a first ever single and brief (1-2 mins max) if she was hiv+ ??

Thanks for your early response.. I am a bit relaved with this.. but wht abt the like symptoms ?? adding to it..i also have develpoed a middlesize pimple like stuff on my upper chest which also keeps me thinking of this hiv sypmtoms and stuffs..!! i have also seen some assumptions made as 1 in 2000 episodes or lower in poorer contries or some wht like this.. ?? just to add.. there was no kissing,sucking or other sex related bussiness..!! some thing more that i missed..can u please esitmate my chances from this vaginal episode of mine.This is the first time n last to be sure I will be atending any prostitute..!! pls explain me the equation which says.. 1 in 1000/ 2000.. and should i get tested ?? thnx in advance

There are no micro-leakage with condoms. You had protected sex, you did not have a risk.
