Hiv scare

I can not really tell what is happening to me. I had unprotected sex about May 2, 2014. On the 16th I stared having muscle aches, my nodes well painful but not swollen at least not to my notice. I had sore throat that was not painful. I checked my symtoms out and discovered that they are synonymous with hiv and a few others sicknesses. I then went for a hiv on 26th May, NEGATIVE  I repeated the test on the 18th of June, NEGATIVE. I another test on 23 July NEGATIVE which is supposed to be the 12th week. My problem now is that I still have sore throat, my nodes in the ampit and groin still aches a little and slight muscle pains. Guys what do you think?  Is that the negatives are false? .

Thank you all.   I am very glad and relieved. Please help disseminate the information that preponderance of symptoms will not always translate to hiv+. Only test will determine. I had all conceivable expert and book defined symptoms some of which are still with me but my blood says a different thing.
Fear and anxiety coming from guilt almost killed me. In the other hand faithfulness is good and gives peace of mind. Thanks again RubyWitch .

You can absolutely "lay it to rest!"
I'm sorry you had to go through the worry and fear, but some of us have to learn our lessons the hard way!
I would definitely see your doctor about your other symptoms, which COULD possibly be related to the anti-malaria medication and stress, but only the doctor can make that call.
Glad you found your peace

Hi there,

I have been where you are now, struck with worry, it is horrible and consumes your life.

One thing is for sure Fuche, you do not have HIV...

A test at six weeks is considered conclusive in many countries, you have gone way beyond that timesale, you do not have HIV.

Both my gf and I had every symptom going, I was convinced but guess what, all the tests came back negative, - it is just our minds playing tricks on us.

You do not require another test, put your head up confident in the knowledge you are HIV free! :)

All the best :)

Today is the 126th day, 18 weeks, 3 months 26 days of my supposed exposure, HIV antibody screen performed today says NON REACTIVE.
I am exhausted from anxiety and hope I can lay this to rest.

Many tnx RubyWitch, it was not worth it at all. Never tried such in more than 15 years.
Within the time I posted the question and now the pains have gone fron minor to sever in my thighs, upper arms and feet. Hardly sleeps. Do not know if it's because of the anti malaria drug Quinine that I am taking now. However will heed your advice and go ahead and do another test. Hmmmm.

If you had unprotected sex on, or about, the 2nd of May, your 12 week conclusive results would be available on, or about, the 2nd of August.

Your last test on the 23rd of July is probably conclusive, but for complete peace of mind, test at 12 weeks and you will have absolutely no doubts.

No more unprotected sex, OK? Wasn't worth it, was it..................
