Normal Virus Symptoms or ARS?

Hello...please assist...we all know how much anxiety potentially having HIV causes...

I am a heterosexual male, had several encounters with different multiple commercial sex workers one weekend, about 2 weekends ago (I know, it's bad, would be monogamous but no woman will have me, hence the turning to sex workers).  A condom was used each time for both oral and vaginal sex.  Seems safe enough, one would think.  But you never know the quality of the condom used...I am also uncircumcised and I have heard transmission risk can be increased significantly for uncircumcised men through the foreskin.  Or if anything can be transmitted through the foreskin if condom is not taken off properly.

About 10 days after exposure, I was facing significant stress at work.  Due to this stress, I proceeded to smoke 2 cigarettes as well (don't normally smoke) and drank a high alcohol percentage beer.  Felt somewhat sick afterwards, and proceeded to have diarrhea that night and felt malaise/nausea.

The next day I have headache, slight fever (99.5), and sore throat, slight chills/sweat.  Slight body aches, very little appetite.  Today I still feel bad with fever (99.5 still), headache, all same symptoms, though maybe feeling slightly better than the day before.  May be some slight swollenness of groin lymph node.  Ear also aches, and sometimes tooth will ache.  Neck and lower back ache but that might be more from laying in bed all day with computer.  Had a milkshake and french fries for lunch, and then diarrhea again afterwards.

I obviously seem to have a virus, and it seems to have been triggered by stress and cigarette smoking.  What worries me is I don't know if it a regular virus or the HIV virus....   the symptoms to me sound like ARS....  sore throat and fever usually come with a runny nose or something.  I don't think I have seen a rash yet, though there may have been some redness on my forehead earlier.   I am confused, because what other virus would cause these specific symptoms??

feverish
sore throat
diarrhea
malaise
nausea
mild body aches

I will get tested but I have to wait 3 months....now I am really worried.....always assumed condoms were safe to prevent HIV but maybe not.....

Alright just one final question and then I am done, though I will be getting myself tested in 3 months for good measure.

Is the fever tied to ars typically a low-grade fever or is it a higher fever (at least 100 degrees) and how many days does the fever typically last?

No one has to answer that if they don't want to but that is my final question.

Uncircumcised or circumcised it does not matter you had protected sex. You did not put yourself at risk for HIV.

Since your nervous and cant eat that tells me its anxiety thats the cause of your symptoms. Move on with your life if you had a risk everyone on this board would of told you get tested. But thats not the case.

Also listen to what LIZZIE LOU is telling you she knows what she is talking about.

sex workers use the correct condoms.  they are doing a JOB and their main goal is to protect themselves against YOU, their paying customers.

I'm not sure I would say I was not at risk.  I am uncircumcised and had sex with 4 commercial sex workers in 2 days.  Granted it was protected but who knows how good a quality the condoms were.

I am still feeling sick and am nervous.  I seem to feel bad when I eat something and am tired and feel really uneasy.  I don't know what else could be causing these symptoms....

condom failure is catastrophic...you would not be having to "guess" if it broke or not.

you have been assessed as not having a risk for contracting hiv.   kindly move along...you do not have a hiv concern.

Unless your condom broke. You had no HIV risk. When it comes to HIV. Symptoms meen nothing. They can be very misleading. Thats why if you had a risk (witch you did not since you have protected sex) Testing is the only way to know if you have HIV.

I am not a Dr. But sounds to me like you might have caught a flu virus. Then you put that together with the fact that you have anxeity about HIV and drinking and smoking never helps when your sick. If you get worse or dont get better in a few days. I recomend you see a Dr. But I am willing to bet you dont have HIV.

Dont stress at all protected sex is safe sex. Keep useing condoms. And always be safe.
