6 days ago i had unprotected vaginal sex with a prostitute. And right now im experiencing a mild diarrhea. I am really afraid that i got the hiv virus in my system now. I cant sleep properly at night and at day time all i do is search google about hiv. What are the odds that i caught this virus from a single unprotected encounter with a prostitute?

My 4th gen at 47 day is -ve which is encouraging but i still have 4-5 things going on with my body

im happy for you man, i think its kind of conclusive already since its already 47 days. Hope the same would happen with mine. im now on my 8th day and havent experienced anything so far, aside from the mild sore throat, maybe this is from my cough which i had before my sex encounter and im having it till now. what did you do while waiting to be tested? did it affect your daily life that much?

I know it's hard and easier said then done. stop searching. get 4th gen test at 4 week and 12 week.

I will surely get tested on the 4th week, but it seems like everything that is happening to me I tend to relate it with seroconversion.

Update: Now on the 7th day, im kinda having a mild sore throat. but no other symptoms.

Hi, Please don't get me wrong. You had unprotected sex. if it would be protected then you don't need to worry....

Please get tested at 6 week and 12 week mark for sake of mind. again, please don't get me wrong.... I've experienced more then 20 symptoms in last two weeks and scared too.

helllo there, yes i know that i should get tested, ill get tested on the 4th week. when are you planning on getting tested?. what im doing right now is reading positive blogs about people living with hiv already, it kinda make me feel better since i know that if ever, only if ever that i get a positive result, that life wont be over, that there's still more to life even tho you have hiv :), I cant tell you not be scared tho, since I'm also scared. all i can do now is hope and pray that everything would be alright. ill include you on my prayers. godbless :)

I'm doing the same thing. Hope for the best and I've been changed man since last month already... I had 4th gen -ve at 2 week (needed to wait for 4 week atleast) so I lost hope there...... I also had uni-gold rapid hiv test at 5 week -ve but the thing is it's only 30% accurate ......

also, almost all ars symptoms has come and gone in 2-3 weeks and that actually scares me a lot.

so how many weeks have already passed? have you done elisa test again? what was your sex encounter bro? and did most of the symptoms occurred at once?

Can someone please answer my question? I am only 18 yrs old and i know that what i did was very wrong. This problem is eating me up from the inside. I cant go on with my day without thinking about what if i only put a condom on this wouldnt happen.and if it would help i am from the philippines.
