Oral Sex Risks

I am a male who has received unprotected oral sex from several men in the past. In August I made the decision that this was too much of a risky behavior for me to continue, so I stopped. Since then, I have become concerned about the risks. I have read very conflicting information online.

Should I be tested for HIV for oral sex exposures?

Why take a chance. Go on youtube and listen to Dr. Becky Kuhn -She mentions we are at risk. She states, "if you are infected from a low risk activity hiv is 100% for you"

Hi there,

You are not at risk if you are receiving the oral.  The risk you had is only theory and have never happened before.

However, I recommend all sexually active people should have a full STD screen at least once or twice a year.

Cheers!

no one has ever gotten hiv from receiving a blow job

Receiving Oral sex is a very low risk behavior which only carries theoretical risk, means nobody had ever contracted HIV this way. However performers of oral sex on men are at a relatively higher risk if ejaculation is involved.

Though receiving blow job is almost "no-risk" behavior from HIV standpoint, other STD's are transmittable including Herpes, which is not curable too.
