Oral Worry

Hi, I had an exposure/experience this past weekend in which there was quite a bit of oral....mostly oral performed on me through to ejaculation.  I also performed oral, but not through to ejaculation and not nearly as long.  Although I precum a great deal, I did not notice any or much precum from my partner, but I have to assume it was there.  I have in the last 2 days (3 days post experience) developed a mild sore throat, sneezing and sniffles and am worried it could be ARS or something of that nature.

We did not engage in ant intercourse, and in point of fact, my partner said he does not engage in intercourse without condoms.  Neither do I.  I always use condoms for intercourse.

But I do not know many people that use condoms for oral.  I am always careful to avoid ejaculate in my mouth, although again....I suspect there is precum.  I worry about the gums, etc.  I had not had any experience since my last test 5 months ago.  Does this warrant HIV testing?  A friend who is a doctor told me it would be a waste of resources and time, but the fact I have a cold symptom worries me.  My partner has had more experiences in life than I have....what do I need to do regarding HIV in this instance?

Anyone can claim anything it doesn't mean it's true. You know that oral sex is not a risk.Accept the facts.

I am just curious....about a year ago the adult industry was hit with a gay/straight performer who went public and claims he was infected via an oral encounter on the set in Florida.  He claims the rationale was he had active gonorrheah and also inactive herpes and that the presence of these STD's allowed the oral to lead to infection because it either caused lesions or increased white blood cell presence that enabled infection.

Would this be true orally?  If so, if someone has a cold or any mild flu and their white blood cell count in the throat is up would they be at risk orally?  Or is it likely this guy is not telling the truth?  Has this been looked at?

I do not want to be in fear every time I have a cold....

"A friend who is a doctor told me it would be a waste of resources and time," Listen to him, he clearly knows what he is talking about.

Thank you.  Wow, I hadnt even remembered that it was so long ago.  I went back and re-read that and it makes me feel better.  I am just thrown off by the oddity of throat colds that seem to come from this, but I guess it is easier to catch such things and in any event....I guess it would be too quick even if there were an exposure...

Repeated question. You've asked the same question before on oral sex.
