Oral risk confusion ?? Change in stance ?? Possible exposure ??

I had a possible exposure 22 days ago in which i had unprotected oral sex from a sex worker. I performed cunnilingus and received oral sex also.
I have recently asked her what her hiv status is?? Which she has confirmed as negative. I have had unhealthy anxiety previously on the risk of HIV transmission and also unnecessarily taken pep treatment in the past.
From using this site previously, I thought hiv risk from oral to be almost zero and testing not necessary ??
But have read recently that one of the doctors on medhelp has changed his stance ?? Should I seek testing ?? Would an instant duo be conclusive at 28 days or 42 days. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :-)

Thank you I'm just having difficulty accepting I've not been at risk of transmission :-( I believed oral sex to be a safe practice in relation to hiv but always seem to find something to contradict this. Thank you

The main issue is that you acknowledge having a history of irrational fears about HIV.  For you to have sought out nPEP when it wasn't necessary, just based on anxiety really shows the level of your anxiety.  You need to address that with a professional.

No stances have changed.  Oral sex is just not a risk, the doctors have always used "no risk", "theoretical risk" and "low risk" interchangeably when discussing GIVING oral sex.  They don't recommend testing for an oral sex exposure.

Get yourself some help for the anxiety.
