Oral thrush...

Is 6 weeks post-exposure too early for the onset of oral thrush from HIV?  Does oral thrush smell awful when scraped off?  Is it painful?  My risk is considered none to low but I am wondering still.

its most likely just normal bacteria on your tounge if it seems to be situated in greater numbers on the back of your tounge bet ur bottom dollar on it being normal naturally occuring anaerobic bacteria

Hi

I have a slight white tongue Yellowish and horrible tastes in my mouth,

First of all would oral thursh smell / make my breath bad ?

Secondly I went to the dentists last week and he did not say anything - if he thought this was oral thrus would he have said ?

Thirdly I am generally concerned as I went to Amsterdam 10 years ago , 3 years ago and Hamburg and you all know whet happens there.

I am worried about HIV as I never have had a std that I know of.

I did wear protection on all occasions.

How safe is it there ?

Should I be worried ?

Could me lossing weight just be a sign of worry ?

Loss of appieate ?

I do smoke a lot and drink every night so am a very anxious person

Please reply aas I want to get this of my chest.

If you believe you have thrush see your doctor or dentist to be diagnosed. You don't have and HIV concern and thrush is not HIV specific and this is an HIV specific forum.

im just kidding , im just in limbo man , one month after protected sex with sex worker ( kissed once and i dint even cum- used cheap condom though , checked after wus not broken.
After the deed i got really stressed thinking i had something , to my ironic amazment one month after i developed  hyperplastic candidiasis- a type of thrush

In patients infected with HIV, the hyperplastic candidiasis most often is found in the lip commissures. and i have that ....so pure irony, God messing with me , or aids while wearing a cheap condom and not even cumming

before the sex i had a really bad flue and took meds...also i became really stressed after the deed and read that both these symptoms could trigger the candidiasis....in all your research and teaching teak give it to me str8

i have the same question , upper lip started burning , noticed many white spots on upper lip and sides, slight burning on toungue tip migrating to bottom lip about month and a week

You didn't have a risk of contracting HIV so thrush has nothing to do with it.

Regardless, does this seem like oral thrush? I'm not asking for a diagnosis, just logically inferring.  And doesn't thrush occur much later on if somebody is infected with HIV?
