could i have gotten hiv from this new tattoo

i got a tattoo one November 17th. Since then I have been kind of off and on sick, the past five days especially. so i was worried that i became infected with hiv. i know there has never been a case of someone getting hiv from a tattoo but i'm still really worried. i went to a big name shop that has been in business for the past 40 years so i don't doubt their standards. the problem is, i wasn't paying attention when the artist was putting together the equipment, needle or ink. i did see the artist clean up the area and throw things out after the previous person was done being tattooed so i assume that everything was disposed of. there was also about an hour between us if that makes any difference. but i'm just scared that he forgot to discard the old needle and use a new one for me. so my question is, what are the chances of me being infected with hiv?

yes i know i could have, i was tested today, results on wednesday. i just want to know what you think my chances are.

thank you for saying that. i am such a worrier that i work myself up into such a tizzy its insane. you are the first person to say that i was probably going to be ok. everyone else has said you never know, better to get tested, which leaves me to think that i might have it. whether i do or not, i won't find out til wednesday but your comment will at least give me some peace of mind.
