Oral sex and HIV.. worried.

I'm a female and 8 months ago I gave a guy oral sex. His HIV status is unknown although I do know him very well and he does have a reputation of being with multiple different females. Also, when I performed the oral sex I swallowed his semen. I have been reading through all the different forums on this site and have notices that the experts here say there is absolutely no risk to get HIV this way.. However I'm concerned by the symptoms. Exactly two weeks after the exposure I got extremely I'll.. High fever, chills, fatigue, and overall weakness. This is a lot like ARS. A few months after that I started having constant upper back pain and cough with phlegm which I still have now 4 months later. My last concern is that a month ago I had my first yeast infection and this worries me. Can someone please help me out, I'm in desperate need for some answers as my anxiety and depression is at an ultimate high the last few days. Any answers would be appreciated.. Thanks!

Yeah I just have been worrying about this lately. I'm only a teenager so the thought of something like this scares me. Thanks everyone for your advice.

It wasn't kissing, it was oral sex. But thanks for the comment.

If it's too hard for you to handle HIV is not the problem, HIV anxiety could be.

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex. The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way. Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk". There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex. Please educate yourself about the real risks. If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. " DR HANSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who believe that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..." DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA
"HIV is not spread by masturbation, through oral sex, through kissing or other casual contact." Dr. Hook
"The observation on thousands and thousands of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort)." DR HOOK
"I would not say your risk ,if he had HIV is "slim to none"- that's too high.  I would say they are effectively zero.  How much of his ejaculate or other genital  secretions you may have swallowed makes no difference.  EWH "
"As far as HIV is concerned, there is no known risk of getting HIV from performing oral sex on an infected partner, even if that person's genital secretions get into your eyes or if you swallow." Dr.Hook
HIV is not spread by oral sex, giving or receiving, even if sores, gum disease or blood is present
DR HOOK
The fact is that there are no cases in which HIV has been proven to be transmitted by oral sex, including fellatio..  EWH

One last comment.. Regarding oral sex as being no risk whatsoever, do many doctors believe this or is it just those here on medhelp?

Oral sex is not an HIV concern giving or receiving. We go by the facts not opinions.

Even if those "symptoms" occured during ARS time frame they are not symptoms of anything to do with HIV.

can severe upper body muscle aches and tightness occur 3 months after exposure not related to ARS?

Thanks I appreciate it.. I'm just very scared about all of these symptoms coming out of nowhere.

Although there have been some reported cases of people who adquired HIV from oral sex by swallowing semen in the presence of ulcers, mouth sores and gum desease, it's not reliable to trust in evidence of self-declared behaviour.

Here in MEDHELP the position is that oral sex is not a risk for contracting HIV, I agree with them partially specially for insertive oral sex. Get and HIV test at three month mark to be definitive and conclusive your chances of being positive are really low, if not, unexistent.

Be safe and have no worries.

Thank you, I do trust in what you're saying. As for my yeast infection.. Do you think its purely coincidence?

You are not having ARS symptoms you've never had an exposure. HIV is not transmitted by oral sex.
