Ok I know this isn't HiV but it is very serious and has been bothering me for 4 years now. For 4 years I have had constant itching 24/7 all day every sec every house and it's killing me mentally- I have been to over 4 doctors,1 Dermatologist and have been prescribed many over the counter topical creams and many prescribed penecillins etc. Probably 10 different pills and creams and I have had enough. Every doctor has denied its a std (been tested 3 times for herpes)which was negative and there are lil red bumps not on my penis but on the pubic region. My body itches all over and I have recently been given cream for scabies which I have used twice but the biting and itching is still there, there is no burning feeling just biting and itching. oh and my pubic hairs are very easy to pull out cause they are very dry. It feels under the skin but feels like things crawling on me at times. No doctor has found the cure .
Please help,at night it seems to increase the pain- I cannot take it anymore just wondering if this sounds familiar and if somebody can help me out cause I cannot take this pain anymore.
Thanks, appreciate it
If you had tested negative at the series of months stated in your original (top) thread, and you had no other sexual encounters that were unprotected with persons known not to have HIV since August of 2005, you indeed are negative for HIV.
Your garden-variety symptoms are not always an indication of HIV infection.
Anything from Epstein Bar syndrome to mononucleosis could be affecting you.
You need to see a MD or a GP for consultation and diagnosis of your symptoms/conditions.
Good Luck.

I agree with everyone else...it is most likely not HIV, since your exposure was so long ago and you've been tested.
but still....get to the doctor soon. Something else is obviously going on. The constant low grade fever is not indicative of any STD I know...but you could have some other sort of immune disorder, since your immune system seems to be affected. Have you noticed any swollen glads, night sweats, fatigue, etc?
heyy thnx everyone for answering my querry...
yup I feel something is seriously wrong with my immune system
:-(
I do feel fatigued everyday and the reason is inexplicable. Its not that am not having proper rest or sth. I make it a point to sleep 8-10 hrs a day, or better put, the fatigue puts me to sleep that much. am having muscle aches as well.
hmm showed to the doc, she said i got no swollen lymph nodes. thats a good sign though..
but then isnt suppressed immune system a cause for delay seroconversion?
and then wat abt the 11 wbc/ml in the PUS CELL reading of the urine test i took? the doc said that def was a cause of worry, as the normal reading for any individual is from 0-3 WBC/ml..
doesnt that mean my body is losing immunity??
Circular patches are infamous for ringworm infection. (a.k.a. "jock itch")
Ron indeed is true on his reflection....maybe fungal which ringworm is fungal.
Nick, I would avoid topical oitments one can purchase over-the-counter.
At this point in time, make a schedule with a dermatologist.
The rash has has occurred longer than several weeks/months.
In the mean time, keep the genital area free of moist and do not scratch the area.
Do not use damp towels. KEEP THE AREA DRY.
Does not sound like any STD that I am familiar with. (and I am quite knowledgeable about STD's.)

Definitely sounds like some sort of skin infection, maybe fungal. Go see a dermatologist. As to your temperature, 98.6 is normal and anything within a degree of that can be normal variation so it does not sound like you have been feverish.
Well, good news...if your last risk was that many months ago....it is not HIV.
I would recommend a dermatologist. Go to their forum and inquire about this situation.
HIV is definitely ruled out. You are WELL beyond the testing scenario and the ruling for HIV is out.
Maybe ringworm (my best guess).
If it were ringworm, ....and I am guessing here...you need to see a dermatologist.
Ringworm can be difficult to get rid of.
They know better about skin irritations more so than GP's.
Now, ....stop worrying.
:)
Good Luck.
