afraid of needle prick injury

hi, I was playing with my friends in the beach and I accidentally fell from a smal cliff and slided myself into bags full of used syringes waste.  I m afraid that I may have been stung by any of those used needles so I got tested after 45 DAYS with simple antibody hiv test and result was negative. should I wait till 3 months or 6 months to get a conclusive result? will I get infected by this incident. ?  I m really afraid n can't concentrate on anything.  Pls help!

Yes , As Iwan said , your chances are very rare. 6 months is very old methodology . 3 months are conclusive. else Get one 4 th gen test now and move on with your life.

Note : DONT GO to Doctor GOOGLE ever.

The likelihood of HIV infection from this is extremely unlikely. HIV does not survive long therefore the chances of there being some active virus still capable of infection is rare. Maash is right that you need to wait 3 months for a conclusive result via an antibodies test or you can take the duo test now. The fact you were negative after 45 days is a good indicator. Having said all of this I would have advised a trip to the emergency centre after the risk as other infections can be caught via unsterile needles. I would recommend a visit to the doctors though, but not for HIV
