Please help

Respected Doctor,
I am 42 M divorcee, On 5-12-2011 I visited a call girl she gave me an unprotected Oral & then I used a condom before sex. During Intercourse I observed a very bad smell from her vagina, I immediately pulled out, the condom was intact but then also I changed the condom & finished the intercourse very quickly.
On 10-12-11 I visited a massage parlour; the massager girl gave me an unprotected oral & an handjob.
That on 11-12-11 I felt a swelling in my both leg’s lymph node, it was pea like, and it subsided in two days.
That on 26-12-11 I had high fever with rigour (102 F) which was persistent; I consulted a physician who told me that I have viral fever. He got conducted some blood & urine test. Blood tests were normal but in Urine bacteria was 75Lac/ml. The doctor prescribed me cefuromine 250mg tab in BD dosage, but the drug did not responded so he increased the dosage to 500 mg. Meanwhile I had a severe sore throat, it is so severe that I am not able to speak. In other words my voice is not coming out only a whispering voice is coming. I consulted an ENT surgeon, he told me that there is swelling in my vocal cord & I have an U.R.T.I. He added an Steroid (Wyslone). Till 2nd January I faced the high fever with rigour. From 3rd my temp. came to an average of 99F.The antibiotics are still continuing but I am not getting relief. I am still in bed and very much tense. Sometimes I feel pain in my Lymph node in groin area, but there is no swelling Dr.’s Here says it’s a muscular pain & no glands are swollen. I am facing extreme weakness & fatigue. I never felt so much ill in my life. I will surely get myself tested after 3 months
Can these symptoms be of window period ? Keeping in view the above two episodes, What are the chances of getting infected with HIV? Although late but can PEP be taken ? can it be due to any other STD ?
Kindly excuse me for my poor English.
With deep Regards
Worried

Classic ARS symptoms have nothing to do with swelling of the lymph nodes. You never had a risk.

No, I am not convinced. This is for the first time when my lymph nodes devloped swelling. Can it be due to exursion ? I walked a lot during that period. can swelling be outcome of that ?

lymph nodes swell all the time, and they can even swell as a result of excessive searching for them with your hand. You didnt catch HIV from these exposures.

Hi,

Thanks for the moral boost. I am not able to understand why I had a swelling in my legs lymph nodes. Still just to satisfy myself I would get tested again. Can u pls let me know what r the chances of reversal of test results?

this is not the drs forum.

nothing that you've described put you at risk for contracting hiv.  sexually speaking...hiv is transmitted through unprotected vaginal / anal intercourse.  oral sex is not a risk.

.FROM THE HIV EXPERTS HERE AT MEDHELP:

"As you know from other posts about oral sex, our stance is that giving or receiving oral sex is not a risk for HIV.  Some others suggest that there is an appreciable risk of HIV from oral sex however, there are no convincing scientific reports which support these statements.  The presence of a burn in your mouth, or a sore, or ingestion of blood does not change this.  Still no risk an no reason for testing."  DR HOOK

"As far as HIV is concerned, there is no known risk of getting HIV from performing oral sex on an infected partner, even if that person's genital secretions get into your eyes or if you swallow"  DR HOOK

There is no debate (among experts) about the HIV risks associated with oral sex.  The risk is so low that almost nobody who cares for HIV infected patients has ever had a patient believed to have been infected that way.  Among experts, it's a semantic issue about using terms like "no risk" and "very low risk".  There is no difference between my or Dr. Hook's use of "low risk" and other experts' "no risk".
DR. HANDSFIELD

"And oral sex is basically safe sex -- completely safe with respect to HIV and although not zero risk for other STDs, the chance of infection is far lower than for unprotected vaginal or anal sex.  Please educate yourself about the real risks.  If you stick with oral sex and condom-protected vaginal or anal sex, you have no HIV worries and very little worry about other STDs. "   DR HANDSFIELD

"I am sure you can find lots of people who belive that HIV is transmitted by oral sex, but you will not find scientific data to support this unrealistic concern..."   DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by touching, masturbation, oral sex or condom protected sex."- DR. HOOK

in the public HIV Prevention forum of MedHelp, TEAK and the other moderators maintain that oral sex in all forms is a zero risk activity. Would you agree with this assessment?
I TOTALLY AGREE / DR GARCIA

The observation on thousand and thousand of observations is that HIV is not spread by oral sex (of any sort).  DR. HOOK

"With regard to the question you ask, I will repeat, as I’ve said more times than I can think- there are NO credible cases in which persons have acquired HIV through performance of oral sex- none!!.  The chance that you will be the first is ridiculously low.  You are more likely to be hit by lightening while reading my reply to you. DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread by masturbation, through oral sex, through kissing or other casual contact." DR HOOK

"There is no credible evidence that HIV is spread through oral sex, with or without the presence of cuts or blood in the persons mouth."- DR HOOK

"Oral sex. there is no evidence that HIV is spread through giving or receiving oral sex"- DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread through oral sex."  DR HOOK

"HIV is not spread through giving or receiving oral sex"   DR HOOK
