Fatty Diarrhea - symptom of hiv?

On December 26, 2011, I had my first sexual encounter with a guy. We wore condoms, but I'm somewhat sure his fluids got into me anally through him fingering me after he ejaculated. I also had oral with him.

From Dec. 27th until now, I've had nothing but diarrhea. No other symptoms. As of the last three days, I've had yellow diarrhea with a little brown in it. The yellowness appears to be fat.

I know my body. I've never had diarrhea for this long. It's a weird coincidence that this would occur to this extent after my sexual encounter and not before.

It doesn't rest easily with me to read on a myriad of Websites that diarrhea can be an early symptom of HIV. What really upsets me is reading that Steatorrhea (a condition where a substantial amount of fat is found in the feces) is found in people who have HIV.

I've been reading that fat absorption is common in HIV patients, but what's contradicting is that some Websites say it's an early symptom of HIV while some mention it's an advanced symptom.

Now I know what many people may be thinking - it's impossible that this symptom is related to HIV because it takes at LEAST 2 weeks for the symptoms to begin. What I don't get is why did my loose stool go from brown to yellow? The yellowness has been consistent for the last 3 days now.

For the last two days, I've had nothing but oatmeal, bananas, diet cranberry juice, yogurt and plenty of water in order to remedy my stool problem but to no avail.

Rewinding back, I contacted the guy I had sex with a couple days later and he stated that he tested negative for all STDs in late October 2011, and he said he didn't have a sexual encounter after the test. I still wouldn't count this valid because he could have had sex with someone just days or weeks prior making the test void.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I just find it extremely disturbing that I've had nothing but diarrhea AFTER this sexual experience with him. I didn't eat anything weird or different before or after being with him, so it can't be food poisoning.

I would love to get tested, but it has only been 17 days after the sexual encounter. This really sucks having to sit and wait as the time passes by to get tested - which is why I need an expert opinion on this.

Should this symptom warrant concern for contracting HIV? Is this symptom common to have in the first 2 weeks of after contracting HIV? I hope I won't see "stress" as the cause for this because I can't make myself crap fat, literally.

I'll be looking forward to your response(s). Thanks in advance.

I've heard of that, yes. It's just that paranoid people like me want to know a general amount of time the virus dies. Within 5 seconds? 1 minute? Instantly? I see different numbers all over the place.

However, I'm beginning to feel more confident I don't have it because I'm sure a load would need to go inside, not the negligible amount that was possibly on his hands with lube for me to get infected - plus the fact that it was exposed to air for at least several seconds...so maybe I should not worry any longer - except for the fact that I have this persistent, weird diarrhea. :)

Thanks for your help on this.

Yes,ever heard of the fact that the HIV virus becomes inactive and therefore unable to infect once exposed to air.An extremely fragile virus that becomes damaged as soon as it leaves the body. Can you please provide a link where someone has been infected by HIV from fingering, you can't because there isn't any.

Is reading your comment false then if everything I read isn't true?

We're assuming that semen, a fluid that carries HIV, is on his fingers when he fingered me. Why shouldn't I worry? Can you convince me to why your point is valid?

I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

Fingering is zero risk even with fluids and so is oral sex. Most of what you read on the internet is false and not true.Stick to the facts and you will be fine. You had no risk. No testing is required.
