Possibility of HIV infection?

Performed oral sex on homosexual man of unknown status, claims to be negative, never tested.
Ejaculated in mouth, no noticeable infections/wounds in mouth.
Got worried and started PEP within 12 hours.
How likely is it for me to contract hiv?

You did not require PEP. You can't acquire the virus through consumption of semen. It is not the right mechanism of transmission. The virus can't replicate in presence of saliva.

You are safe from HIV so should stop worrying and are safe. Why did the doctor give PEP to you?

HIV is instantly inactivated in air and also instantly in saliva which means it is effectively dead so it can't infect from oral, or any sexual activity outside the vagina or anus. It doesn't matter if you and they were bleeding at the time either because the HIV is effectively dead.
Only adult risks are unprotected penetrating vaginal or anal sex or sharing needles that you inject with but you didn't do that so you had no risk. This sentence is all you need to know to protect yourself against HIV.
Even with blood, lactation cuts, rashes, burns etc air and saliva do not allow inactivated virus to infect from  oral, or any sexual activity outside the vagina or anus. The above HIV science is 40 years old and very well established.

Even though it is completely unnecessary to finish the course of PEP, for YOUR peace of mind, make sure you follow the correct POST-PEP testing guidelines...........which will be negative since you never had a risk. Your decision to seek professional help is the wisest choice you could have made. I wish you the very best.

As Psyntax_error has concisely stated, you never needed to begin PEP as oral sex is not a risk for HIV. Regardless of when you began PEP, according to the HIV Specialist  Dr. Edward W Hook, there is absolutely no risk in discontinuing PEP at any point during treatment.

I'm starting to realise my problem is not the dangers of exposure, but rather my anxiety.
I actually exaggerated the risks to the doctor to get pep. Don't think I'll be able to stop pep as that gives me a sense of security.
I may go see a psychiatrist though.
