Sorry, my English is not good for translation software, I mean the condom has broken but I didn't find it and finished sex.I use a venous blood test in my lab and the hiv test is chembio sure check hiv 1/2
I'm now ten weeks away from high-risk behavior, with swelling of lymph in my neck. I would like to ask if a 10-week rapid test would make a lot of sense to rule out the possibility of my being infected with hiv.
First, a one time condom break is LOW risk. It's a risk but LESS THAN ONE PERCENT chance. So, keep that in mind. You had very little actual chance of getting hiv from this one time event. If you took a duo test, it is conclusive at 28 days and beyond.
If you don't take a duo test, wait another 2 weeks before you test. You should stop poking your lymph and irritating it. If an hiv doctor could diagnose from lymph, there would be no need for tests, so there is no purpose in you trying to figure out if you have hiv by poking your neck.
The medical treatment here is really backward and not tested. I can only ask for rapid paper tests with venous blood. And I didn't touch my neck but I did have lymphatic swelling. Thank you for your answer.
you describe a 4th generation duo test. Rapid 4th generation test are also conclusive at 28 days. Your 'symptom' is irrelevant as only risk and testing are used to diagnose. Lymphatic changes happen on a regular and normal basis for a multitude of reasons. You had a low risk and a negative test in the appropriate time frame. You do not have hiv.
I'm just anxious because my neck is a little swollen. In fact, I've been looking through the data to find out the window period of the rapid hiv test tool. I wonder if using a rapid venous blood test can shorten the window.
"If an hiv doctor could diagnose from lymph, there would be no need for tests, so there is no purpose in you trying to figure out if you have hiv by poking your neck. "
hiv doctors can't diagnose from symptoms so no one here pays attention to them and you shouldn't either because it just makes you more anxious when you realize that you can't prove it is hiv. Maybe you have neck cancer.
Please read this and stay focused on this information. You've been told that 1. you had a low risk. Less than on percent chance. 2. symptoms are not used to diagnose HIV including a lymph issue. Those are common and happen for many reasons MOST often completely unrelated to anything serious going on in the body. 3. Your test appears to be a 4th generation Duo test, that is a rapid test. Those are ACCURATE tests. 4. 4th generation venous rapid duo tests are conclusive at 28 days. 5. EVERY test is accurate at 12 weeks. S0, it's time to understand that your anxiety is keeping you stuck for no reason. You do not have HIV.
