Ok, thank you, my partner was a male. He said he was clean, but he had high like risk tendencies. I have gherpes, and he said he has had un protected sex w someone else who had gherpes  and nothing happened so he didn't have a problem taking the risk of having sex w me unprotected w me. So that's in a way telling me he dosent care much for his safety let alone mine,...and he said he has unprotected sex w his previous partners but they were checked and so was he and he's fine but who am I to believe you know what I'm saying? Well I emailed my doctor but it may just be too late as far as time wise goes for the npep meds. So u said 6 weeks? So about two months? Thanks.

pep is useless now, test at 3 months for a conclusive negative result.

nPEP is not a test it,s medication given to someone who has had a high risk exposure with a known hiv positive person so i don,t know if you qualify for nPEP because you don,t know her status. It,s expensive and your doctor or local hospital can pescribe it,but it,s really only effective before 72 hours of exposure. The best thing you can do now is fine out some information about this woman,s status, ask her if she has recently been tested and obviously you require testing yourself anyway. At 6 weeks you will receive a very good indication of your status. All the best.
