Hello all. Just wanted to start by thanking you for the community. It's a great wealth of info. I have read through the previous posts regarding HIV and kissing and have seen that it is not a common way to get infected.
Please forgive me as I am an EXTREMELY anxious individual(in therapy) but I had a recent exposure that has me very worried.
Had dental work 2 days ago, including filling and a temporary crown installed. Yesterday I engaged in a brief open mouthed kiss with a questionable person. Does the recent dental work and/or the temp crown act as an open pathway into my bloodstream if the other person had blood in their mouth?, Am I more susceptible to transmission.
I understand the policy here is generally no penetetration = no risk. But was wondering if my recent dental work would be a factor.
Thank you
