Quick OraQuick question

Hello all,

I would appreciate advice as I am panicking. A while ago (about a year and a half) I explored my sexuality right after I turned 18. I was laying in bed with my gay friend and we were fooling around. He kissed me and blew me and grinding against my butt with his penis. I had my boxers on at that point. I don't know if through miss understanding or stress, I feel he may have pushed up against my anus with his uncovered penis without my boxers on. I don't remember ever taking off my boxers and I know I fell asleep so I don't know what happened when I was asleep. He claims he did push up against my anus but it was never confirmed by him if it was with or without my boxers on. A few days after that event, (about 3?) I took him to get a rapid HIV or quick test at a clinic. It was negative. Then about a month and a half later, he claims he was tested by his doctor when he came out to him. It was negative as well. About 10 months later, I took him to get another test, in home oraquick. It was the middle of winter and we took it in my car. I left it on my car dashboard by the window where the defrost vents were but I don't remember putting the defrost on. I had the heat on low, but not the defrost vents since the windows were getting foggy. It was negative as well but the results took longer than 20 minutes to show. He swears to me within the last 3 months, his doctor tested him again about a month ago and it was negative and in march, he was tested at a clinic with an oraquick and it was negative. I don't know if I can believe him.

Fast forward, I've been sick for 3 days with a fever and sore throat and I'm feeling better each day but my stress kicked into hyperdrive. It's been a year and a half since this incident. I want to buy an Oraquick in home test just to kill my stress.

My main question is, can I take this test with a fever and sore throat? Would that effect my results?

Thank you.

Did you read the instructions that came with the kit? Had you read the test instructions you would know that test is not to be taken before 3 months to get an accurate test result.

All testing of his aside, would the first test he took, the rapid oraquick 4 days after our encounter which returned negative, pretty much show he was negative at the time of our encounter?

I'm taking it just to know my status, not specifically for the exposure. So I should be provided with reliable results even with this illness/flu i have?

Would taking an Oraquick at-home test be effected by whatever illness I am currently experiencing? Would the fever and sore throat I have effect the results and could possibly, god forbid, cause a false positive?
