Rapid Test query?!

Hi there, over the past month ive performed 3 rapid hiv tests. My last sexual encounter was nearly 5 months ago now. Each test appeared to be negative with just a clear red line on the 'C' symbol. There was however some discolour maybe caused by the blood solution present slightly underneath and above the 'C' symbol, but certainly no straight red line by the 'T' symbol. Im no expert on these things but should i assume that this means im negative?

Kind Regards

Yes they were a waste because you had no risk. $ would have been better spent on a therapist for your anxiety.

I was hoping the test kits would ease my anxiety, im a straight guy who had mutual masturbation with a gay male for the first time and the whole episode has been playing on my mind ever since. Ive heard MM carries no risk but im just a natural worrier. £50 on those home kits were clearly a waste of cash even if they did all appear negative!

Overall I would just see a Dr for a test. I know these test kits are approved for home but thought you had to send them in for the result.

Hi Vance, i read that part when purchasing but i also read the bit saying:

HIV Self Test Kit - FAST, Accurate result in 15 minutes!

and

Instant and easy to understand result.
"I received my HIV testing kit today, it is so easy to use that I completed the test within minutes. I am very happy to know I am not infected with the HIV virus. Thank You!"

Its abit misleading i think.

The HIV Home Access HIV test is an at-home FDA approved doctor recommended test that offers over 99.9% accuracy. Each home test kit comes with collection supplies for collecting and mailing your sample of blood to a certified laboratory for analysis. All shipping is prepaid. Confidential results will be made available in approximately 7-10 business days from the date you mail-back your specimen sample to the laboratory. You will be responsible for calling the toll free 800# and entering your code # to obtain your confidential and anonymous results. Counselors will review the results with you and provide post counseling support and referrals to doctors if requested.

Don't know what test kits are advertised that you do everything yourself at home.

I suggest you see a Dr for a test.
