Am I at risk and should I get tested?

I had sex with a woman and about 3 weeks later I developed dhiarhea, fever, runny nose, and had swollen red sore lymph nodes under my arms. I had a rash on my inner thighs at the time of sex and the rash was due to a hair follicle that had been pulled out and then spread. Also, at the time of sex i did wear a condom. I do not know her status as it was a one night stand, but I am now concerned that I may have contracted the virus via the rash on my thighs (ie broken skin). Am I at risk and should I get tested? I've read that sex with a condom is fairly safe, but I'm conserned that I could have become infected through transmission of her fluids and the rash on my thigh ie broken skin. Should I be concerned and go get tested? Thank you for you time.

You had no HIV risk.  A lot of people do this. They read into HIV symptoms and start convinceing themselfs they have symptoms. Forget about it. No risk meens no HIV.

that's the thing....wasn't really having any anxiety until my buddy told me about flu symptoms and hiv. And the fact that infections like to spread to other infections, so the broken skin on my thighs could be a transmissino point.

I have anxiety now after having the flu like symptoms. Also, I've never had my armpits swell up when having a flu. That's the first time. That's really what concerns me. All the symptoms are gone now too....i gues the only way to know is to get tested.....I'm just wondering if I should run to the doctor to get some antiretroviral treatment or tough out the anxiety for a couple of months and then get tested. It doesn't make sense to get tested now, because from what I'm reading on the internet the tests are useless until after three months of exposure. I'll just crawl into the fetal position and shake with fear for the next three months i suppose.

If you wore a condom and it did not break no risk. The symptoms you are haveing are more than likely due to anxiaty.
