worried man

Hey there,

I had unprotected heterosexual sex 5 weeks ago with another women and scared to death because of it.

I never thought much of it because of my inexperience and have had sex with my partner since and she has had diarrhea for the last 4 days.

I know the odds are firstly low that the person even has HIV but I'm still very concerned.

The stress has been killing me.

Thanks for your response.

A 6 week negative result is very reassuring, but you will still need to re-test at 12 weeks for a conclusive result.

Got my 6 weeks HIV results back and they were negative.

I'm going to wait for week 13 to come to get my conclusive results.

Are results from weeks 6 pretty reliable?

is the 4 month herpes test really important?

I've gone for 6 week base line testing and I know that conclusive results can only be attained after 13 weeks.

As I mentioned I did go for clamydia and Gonorrhea testing and got negative results but have gotten a rash on my penis head and foreskin that my doctor says does not ressemble herpes.

Can this be a HIV symptom?

BTW, my encounter was unprotected in case you havent read my other posts.

Thanks.

unprotected insertive sex with a confirmed hiv positive female carries a risk but you have more risk of dying of a stroke or being hit by a car.

Get a test at 6 weeks and then a follow up at 12

You are more than likely suffering from stress and anxiety and nothing more.

Tightening throat, cramps and stomach can be attributed to anxiety, best to take a test at 12 weeks, rather than stress your self out about symptoms,

Ive also been having  cramps and stomache aches for the last two weeks.  Almost as if I'm getting sick.

Can that be a function of stress and anxiety or can it be a symptom.  The second week I had the odd night with night sweats but couldn't get it off my mind that week before finally sleeping.

Thanks.

Thanks for the calming advice.

As for the herpes test, is that blood work? Is it not captured in the first STD test?

I'm glad to hear that all of your tests came back negative.

God Bless.

i've been in ur place last 10 mnths...
also having unprotected sex for the first time with CSW..
but i'm very stress, anxious, guilty, scared after the exposure...
keep on testing & testing..6 wks,19wks, 25wks, 35 & 37wks (full STD)...
all came back negative...(already being told that 12/13 wks is conclusive)..
most of the test not needed actually...it's only my anxiety that bad...
so..get tested at 12/13 wks.. and for the time being...relax & calm down..
everything will be fine buddy...

My test was just for STD 's(i.e. gonnarea, clamydia, etc.) not for HIV as it is to soon.

I need some piece of mind of the liklihood on a one time unprotected encounter.

Thanks for the support

I planned on getting tested but how likely is it that I contracted HIV.

I hot tested for other STD 10 days later and they results came back negative.

The lady was not a prostitute.  I know HIV isn't as prevalent in Hetersexuals and that it is harder for a man to contract it from a women from what I've read.

Should I stay at ease until I get tested.

Do I have a lot to worry about.
