Scared Pls Help Me

I am 29 year male.Today while having sex with a prostitute my condom broke off.This is my second unprotected sex.The first time while having sex with a prostitute the condom opened and when i asked the prostitute about her status she said she was nagative and that she recently got her test done and i too got my test done after 8 weeks from that incident and was found negative.Now can any one pls tell me if the condom breaks what are my chances of getting HIV considering the status of the prostitute to be positive.I am really scared now.As soon as the condom broke i immediately withdrew and washed my penis with water.This happened while cumming and when i realised that i had a condom breakage i immediately withdrew myself in the middle.What are the chances of aquiring HIV from this incident and will this be considered as my first unprotected sex or second one.I have heard that there is very low chance of getting HIV from only one unprotected sex considering the partner to be HIV positive.Is it true.Pls help me.

In this forum we deal with risks, either a risk or not a risk. And it was a risk. Not going to say it was the biggest risk possible but it is a risk none the less.
Testing would be advised.

Hi Vance i know its a risk how much risk i am into from this encounter and is it true the chances of aquiring HIV from only one unprotected sex is quite low and Vance can you look at a person and tell that he/she is HIV positive because the prostitute was quite healthy and is it true that those who have HIV there is a foul smell in there private parts.Pls help.

No -  you cannot tell by looking at anyone if they have hiv or not. some people go 20 years and have no symptoms and what you mentioned has no relation to hiv symptoms.

Only a hiv positive antibody test will define if someone is hiv positive or not.

Its impossible to tell if someone has HIV by looking at them, they might not even know themselfs, if only it was that easy eh..
The risk factor, i heard its like 1/1000 or something to contract HIV from a hiv pos person. dont no how accur that is,over the past few months i have prob read hundreds of pages lol.
get tested at 3 months, can do a earlier 1 if want to ease yourself a but , but 3 month test is conclusive.

Looking for symptoms is useless because most symptoms are non specific and often unrelated to HIV, and most people do not get symptoms.

The best thing for you is to mark on a calender 3 months away to get tested and in the mean time don't seach on the internet, don't examine yourself, don't think that symptoms are HIV related. Just live life like normal.

thats just what ive read m8, You can defo get HIV from a one off sexual encounter but the odds are in your favour.The women does say that she is clean so that should ease your mind a little bit, and most sex workers are made to have HIV tests.

For what i understand m8, the HIV virus needs perfect condition to contract and spread. I know exactly how you feel m8 and trust me, the internet wont help you, just take test at 8/10 weeks to ease mind then repeat at 12 weeks for conclusive.

I have one question its not even 24 hours if i got tested that prostitute and if in case she is found positive can i ask for PEP because PEP is effective if taken within 72 hours is it so and is PEP really effective and how long do i need to take.Help me pls and does it have side effects.

Hi Vance pls answer these two questions the above one as well as this one pls as soon as the condom broke i immediately withdrew my penis it was less than 15 seconds.The condom broke when i was cumming and after withdrawl (withdrawal) cummed outside and then washed my penis with water.What are my chances of getting HIV from this single encounter.I am not sexually active person.Last time i had sex was in the month of May that was with a prostitute and i had condom slippage.Later after 8 weeks i asked that prostitute abt her HIV status and she said she is negative and i got a test done for myself after 8 week and i was negative.Now after that had protected sex twice in the month of July that is 21st July and now on 4th August which was unprotected due to condom breakage.Considering this what are my chances of getting HIV if the prostitute is HIV positive.Will you consider this as a single exposure or the unprotected sex which i had due to condom slippage will also be considered(in that case the prostitute was negative).So will this be my first unprotected encounter.So my chances of aquiring HIV from a single unprotected encounter is quite low is it true.Pls answer these two question.

Your risk is very low. If you are in North America, the chance that your CSW had HIV is less than 1%. You are 5x more likely to get hit by lightning in your lifetime than have contacted HIV from this episode.

You would not qualify for PEP from this exposure- that is reserved for people who have had an exposure to someone confirmed to be HIV positive.

The fact that you are having repeated condom breakages suggest that you are not using them correctly. Next time use water-based lube to minimize the chance of breakage.

A risk is a risk. 3 month post exposure test will give you a conclusive result.

IF the prostitute tests positive (big if here) tomorrow then you should see a doctor about receiving PEP ASAP.

Higher risk than having sex with a condom or with a person that doesn't have HIV. I don't guess. Test and you'll know your status.

          In the forum i said i had sex with the prostitute on 4th August and the condom breaks and i withdraw in the middle.On 6th Aug i convinced that prostitute for blood check and she agreed and the result was negative.Do i need to worry now and get myself a blood test after 3 months.Pls answer anyone.

Yes you need to test at 3 months. You can't use someone elses results as yours.

Ok she was negative so what? 3 months is a conclusive result. What if she got HIV 1 week before she was with you? Then her negative result is not accurate.

I am not trying to scare you but you can't take someone elses result as your result. YOU need to test at 3 months for YOUR result.

The number that I can give you is from the Dr's on this site and they say it is a 1 in 1000 chance if she is HIV positive. But I see it as a risk is a risk and testing for you is needed.

What is your chance...I told you the Dr's say the chance is 1 in 1000. How else can I say it? How about a .001 chance? Better?

You can never use symptoms because most people don't get symptoms.
