Whatever is wrong with you is not HIV. You have reliably tested negative.

I Ikeep thinking what if I am someone that needs longer to test positive. This interferes with my entire life I spend all my time thinking about it. Could the test have missed the infection

You are not one of those individuals. You would know if you were. Also, for those people, they only need to test out to 6 months, and you have tested after that.

There is so much conflicting information out there. I have also read stories about the infection not being picked up in healthy individuals. I have never had  health issues until this and I have been living in this hell for over 3 years. I really do appreciate your comments I just wish there was a 100% way to find out

I can relate to your anxiety having gone through this window period and thinking I'll be an exception to the norm. Much info out there is dated and some not accurate. If you insist on not trusting your negative results, assuming they were AB only test then ask your Dr for a test that will look for the virus itself. Sounds like anxiety has to much control over you.
BTW, what test were done and what was your risk?

That is a 4th generation test that also looks for a p24 antigen as well. When were the first two done?

I experienced strange symptoms as well, some that lasted 7 months. I'm 11months from my risk. During my first 4 months or so I spent hrs online that really just fueled my fear. 3~4 Hrs of sleep a night for over a month. We condition our thinking in a negative way. You must keep telling yourself you tested negative with the best generation test out there. You are not the rare, and I can't express enough, any rare exception. Retrain your mind on the positives of those facts. This may be enough to cure your ills. If not then you can confidently seek another direction with your Dr but know you ruled out hiv. What was your exposure?

Giving oral as you describe is considered no risk by most and a very very low risk by others. Do you know if he is hiv positive?  I assume we don't.
Did you receive ejaculation?  If not then that really is no risk. You are in a better place than you are convincing yourself.

Your test results tell you he's negative or he didn't infect you with hiv.
You did put yourself at risk for other stds but you ruled out hiv.
I hope you can find comfort in all our replies concerning your HIV fear.

I understand what you are saying, the only thing that doesn't add up for me is that since then I have had a whole bunch of symptoms that relate to hiv. I no that this means nothing in most circumstances but I just no that the test were wrong my Dr will not give me another test as she does not see the need

You didn't even need to test in the first place. You need to seek professional mental help.

I have been to my gp and that is what they have now referred me to. I honestly don't know why as I don't see this as an anxiety issue. I just wish I could be 100% certain that it's not hiv
