needle - PEP

Right, while i was wairting in the waiting room at the clinic E * R i placed my bags down and filled in a form then picked them up again. There was a guy there who looked like a druggie - i can't be to sure. Then i frantically looked under my seat- but the way they were placed was hard to see if anything was under there? As when i picked up my bag i had felt a sting- and today the area is red and with a small dot in the middle.

I can only assume the needle would be one attached to a syringe? if there was one onder the seating - and that was what poked me am i at risk? should i go to the DR for PEP or something. It could have just been used and then maybe for 2 sec been left and i did that...

you never had an exposure and do not need testing.

any further questions should be addressed on the hiv anxiety community forum.  the link is at the bottom right hand side of this page.

are you aware that "normal" ppl dont go looking under their seats for needles?

c'mon now...this is as far fetched as yesterday's scenario.

clearly your anxiety controls your IMAGINATION.

kindly move on...

no risk for u...i think its ur phobia...i am also have had such type of phobia but after taking professional help i m feeling better....even if it poked u (which is ur imagination but not true) the risk from needle stick exposure is 0.03 and is very rare...forget it and keep ur mind peace
