accuracy of a hiv test

Hi all,
How accurate are hiv rapid tests at about 6 weeks? Some doctors say that they are very accurate but still re test at 12weeks?

It's highly unlikely to change at 12 weeks if that's what your asking.

Whilst the 12 week post exposure testing frame is conservative, it is there for a reason.  

This is when your result can be confirmed as 100% conclusive
