Am I freaking over nothing?

I had unprotected sex 8 months ago (twice in one night with the same woman) in October and once again (one time) in January.

I showed no signs or symptoms.  I did get sick, but it was only for a couple of days with:

No diarrhea
No swollen lymph glands (except tonsils)
No night sweats

No illnesses since.

I know these are the biggest symptoms:  I put next to them what I have had.

    * mouth disorders - NOPE
    * prolonged diarrhea - NOPE
    * skin disorders - I get boils, but have since I was 16.
    * swollen lymph glands - NOPE, not in neck, armpit or groin.
    * sweating, excessive -- night sweats
    * bacterial pneumonia
    * prolonged fever - NOPE
    * prolonged fatigue - NOPE
    * malaise - NOPE
    * weight loss - I'VE GAINED WEIGHT OVER THE PAST 6 MONTHS
    * joint pain - MUSCLE
    * rashes/legions - NOPE

I have a few questions:

1)  Am I freaking out or nothing?

I agree with exww.
You got a higher chance of winning the next lottery than having HIV.
But it doesn't hurt to take a test, especially since you have a concern about the issue.

I can say that even through you had a couple of unprotuckted sex
your risk is minimal if it is not zero.You also dont have any symptoms. If you fear you can get a hiv test. As all sexually active people can take a test once in a year.

I forgot my questions.

2)  I have led a pretty chaste life.  The only other woman I had unprotected sex with was my ex-wife.  How big is my risk?

3)  What do swollen lymph glands feel like?

4)  How does exposure work?  Namely, I have been told my entire life than one exposure dooms you.  Is this true?
