Slightly Low WBC

on 10/23/2009, I attempted to have sex with a woman whom I known for a while. I couldn't get hard, so she played with me with her hands until I got hard between her legs. My tip may have touched her vagina two or three times before I got hard. Then, I put a condom on. Once i put the condom on, I felt remorseful and didn't go inside her. For days later, I got sick with gastritus. Since then, i have had stinging pain in my hands, feet, and legs. My hands swelt up and almost have a stinging feeling. And, my fingers, arm or foot would fall asleep. I got a small sore on my gums/cheek. I lose 10 pounds. And, I'm very tired. I have no headache or fever. 7 weeks after this situation, I and my friend mentioned above went to take the rapid test and both came back negative. She also went to the doctors and they told her that she had a yeast infection. So, I also took a cylamida, gongareya and HIV test 4 weeks after the situation and all came back negative too.

Now, two weeks ago, I got a routine physical and took a CBC and all the BC came back in range beside the WBC. It was out of range by ".2" I had a cold and was sneezing alot when I took the test. Every since my kids began daycare, I get a cold every winter season. My best friend for 24 years thinks I have axienty because I over react about these things. My GP also said that most of his patient that have a stinging feeling in there hands and legs or fingers or limbs fall asleep at night are because of axienty. I have been thinking, praying and pondering over this very much lately. Last tip-bit--my hands would always swell up in the morning occasionally anyway. (2) I would get little swores in my mouth before this ever happen.. (3) with kids, I'm always tired as a very invloved father. (4) I have a very stressful lifestyle and job. (5) I was doing an extreme exercise plan at the time. I was taking the 5-hour caffeene drinks like crazy. 2 other guys that were taking the plan lost 40lbs and 25 lbs too. (6) During my exercise plan, I jammed my neck by hitting my head into the wall. My GP thinks the stinging hands/feet/legs/arms could come from a pinched nerve. My neck was very stiff every morning for 6 weeks.  My stinging is not painful as it was in the beginning, but it is still there. My neck stiffness is very minmum now.

What do you think I should do? Do I really have anixity? the aches and hand stinging concerns me.. Since the girl took the rapit test too keeps me at easz, but I'm still concerned.....  Thanks for your listening ear.....

If you did not have any unprotected vaginal penetration you were never at risk.

Yes, But i'm sure my tip of my penis touched her vaginal area. She was very moist....  Also, I've been having hot flashes and a cold that wont go way....   Do you think I over-reacting with anixity? Does the symtoms sound like a concern?

You did not have a risk.

You can never use symptoms to try to get an indication. You did not have a risk for HIV.

Ok.  As a general question then, if symptoms don't give an indication of a risk, then why post them???

I'm sorry, I meant other websites?  Even on this webpage, it has a "Sympton Checker" hyperlink....

if you have read ANY of this forum...you would have seen that EVERYONE has "symptoms" of infection...even those who never had a risk...AS IN YOUR CASE.

symptoms cant be used to diagnose hiv.  the symptoms of early infection are the same as those of MANY, common, everyday illnesses.

if someone has a risk...they test.  they dont symptom shop...and especially on this forum ! !

One other question. Does it matter if your taking a rapid 20min blood test versus pulling blood and having it sent for review (Two-week period)?  I seen on different forums where poeple have suggested to take a 6 week test. Does it matter what type of test?

You never had a risk of contracting HIV.

But for my person education, does it matter what type of HIV test is taken? (Rapid Blood Test, oral, two-week blood test)

For future info if you ever have a risk (unprotected vaginal or anal sex) then a 3 month test is conclusive. Rapid (blood or oral) or straight blood test, doesn't matter as long as it is an antibody test.
