Hi,
There is a rather new exam claiming to give an accurate HIV results even a week after exposure. I wonder if you heard about them. They do not have FDA approval yet , claim it is in process. They have CE Mark and Israeli health license (An Israeli company).
I had a brief unprotected vaginal intercourse with an African woman , 2 weeks later began to feel bad , weak , a little rash on my stomach, dizeness and headaches. No fever no swollen glands. I honestly thought I got HIV , Flew home (Western country) and made this SmarTube exam (It's a special tube and according to the manafacturer stimulates the production of HIV antibodies within 5 days of incubation) , got a negative result 5 days after.(Which was 23 days from exposure)
Because i was so sure i got HIV i began investigating about the company and they don't seem too serious...they are sold mainly in Africa and Russia and just began selling in Germany,so I got very worried again , I had to go back to Africa where i work , so yesterday took an Ora quick exam 34 days after exposure and it was also negative.
I know , I still need to make another test in a month or so to verify im negative, but i would really like to get a proffesional opinion regarding this SmarTube , because if it is not reliable it can danger the well being of lots of people who believe they are negative but actually are positive , I personally know a man who went "celebrating" after a negative Smartube test , If he is positive he infected other woman for sure.
Your opinion here will be very appreciated.
Thanks :)
