HIV Risk

Dr Handsfield or Hook,

Bisexual male here

I know you guys have always said oral sex there essentially no risk but I wanted to check with you to be clear on my situation. I was giving oral sex to a guy that got pretty rough/deep in my throat. I noticed after a short while that blood was coming from my throat. I immediately stopped.  Do I need to be concerned I'm still within the 72 hour period to get on PEP.  The guy  I had said he was hiv negative, however his last test was in Aug 2016.  He said he does have unprotected sex with men on PREP and safe that are not. He claims he only tops. He did not ejaculate in my mouth but light amounts of pre-cum was present.  Since it was my throat and not my mouth should I have extra concern?

Thank you

Doctors aren't here anymore. HIV is inactivated in saliva or air, so you are safe like everyone else in the world was who gave oral and had some bleeding and didn't get HIV.
