Swollen glands in throat for 3 weeks

Dear doctor, a month ago I had a protected sex, unprotected oral (give and receive) on a CSW with frenc with french kiss. a week later I started to have a swollen fland in both side of my throat. I can see them within my mouth. It was painful in the first 3 days, and there are white dots around the swollen area, felt tired for a couple of days too. So I went to my doctor and he did strep throat culture test and blood test for mono but all negative. I was on antibiotic for a week then was told to stop by my doctor due to negative strep throat. The pain went away in 2-3 days. Through out the next two and half weeks, the swollen gland in my throat are still there. I can fell a bit but in general nothing uncomfortable. Besides that, I don't have any other sickness or uncomfortness except once in a while I can feel some very minor pain under my armpit, around my upper leg and maybe some other part of my body. I haven't done any STD or HIV test yet. I am getting more worried because the swollen throat doesn't go away. From your experience, what do you think is happening on me? or what are the possibilities of me catching any STD, HIV or any other virus? Thanks and have a good day.

I recommend that you read some of the other posts/questions. Like Teak said, you never had any exposure to HIV. Read MY post in the expert forum...that's a possible HIV exposure!
