I am 30 year old heterosexual . Here my story on August 10 had protected oral and vaginal intercourse with sexworker/stripper . Pretty intoxicated not sure after i took off condom if i washed my hands . I know it didnt break 3days later i had stiff neck . Than symptoms came on Muscle aches . Runny nose and cough . Aweek later noticed a purplish skin color dot on my penis and My scotum seemed to be tender and enlarged I poked at it alot though . I got nervous and started takin diazepam and amoxicillin and a muscle relaxant (. Dont know why ). I had 3 days of waking up a little sweaty and had a temp of 99.6 only at night for a few days . That temp is now gone . I thought i had thrush but doctor said white coating on tongue is normal and seeing my tastebuds in back is also normal . Told me to stop sticking out tongue so far . 6 weeks after incident i noticed my chest underneath collarbone was a little red with a few red dots . The redness comes and goes . I have been real stressed about this and since than i have spent at least 200 hours on the net searching every thing . Italked to sex worker a couple times she said she was clean and was the one to insist on a condom . I am kinda nervous about when i touched condom and about that little dot on penis (dont know if it always was there )and the redness i see on my chest . Like most people in here i regret the situation since i have a family . ANY RISK ? SYMPTOMS ? iHAVE POKED AROUND ALOT BY MY NECK AND ARMPITS . DOC SAID NO SWOLLEN LYMPHNODES EVEN THOUGH I CAN FEEL A LITTLE . was checked for strep nothing there . What you think???
You did not have a risk in the situation you've provided. Don't poke or probe on your nodes or you will make the swell and become sore.
You probably need a lot less virus for a needlestick transmission, because you are depositing the virus directly into your bloodstream. That's not exactly the same as depositing it into a vagina, where it still needs to cross the epithelium to get to the bloodstream.
Juat a couple quick questions on transmission . If they say hiv has to be transmitted by large amounts of virus how does intarevenus drug users get it if it is just with a needle ***** ? Why do some websites have conflicting info saying csw are all at highrisk ? Also why do are bodys bring on symptoms due to stress and anxiety ? I am sure that is proably a question that is to hard to answer . Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this . It just seemed with me when i read a symptom online i started to think i had it . Like i read about headaches and i didn't get them till i read about them . Or i am sure it might just be allergies or something , maybe a pure coincendence ?
It was a one time incident . Thanks for responding back i kinda lifted a big weight off of me . I know by reading on these forums that symptoms dont really mean much and alot of it can be due to stress/anxiety . The mind can do some crazy things to you . Thanks

Look, if you have a history of having sex with prostitutes there is no reason not to be tested for HIV. After all, any sexually active person should be tested. But, if all of your vag/anal sex has been covered, that test will be negative, so no reason to worry either.

Not tring to be a nuisance . But what if i touched my mouth or eyes would that be a risk ? Or if condom touch with secretions touched my euretha ? You Think i should just forget whole situation and move on ? Sorry so many obnoxious questions !!
Sounds like it was protected. Try not to pay attention to symptoms. Your test would basically be conclusive at this point. I would recommend it for your anxiety more so than your risk. I am in a similar spot. I am taking 6 week test tomorrow. Good luck. God Bless. Try not to worry as I think you will be fine.
ALSO headache in my eyes started last week and only lasts a few minutes periodically through out the day
