Hi,
If one has HIV symptoms, how long after the symptoms the test would be positive? and is it possible that one test positive during the HIV symptoms? I have read that symptoms are results of antibodies building up to fight HIV, Is it correct?
I tested 8 weeks after my exposure and it it was negative but i am suffering from many symptoms!!
Many thanks
However it also important to mention that many actually infected people remained totally asymptomatic while many have experienced each and every symptom related to HIV but they were not found infected.
Therefore symptoms do not mean much and they only produce confusion because all the HIV related symptoms are also similar to other common infections.
If you had an exposure of unprotected anal or vaginal sex with someone of unknown health status, you were at risk and your test if it was a 4th generation HIV Duo test, it was conclusive and you do not have HIV.
Do not pay attention towards the weird symptoms and move on with your life, HIV is not your problem. Seek medical help to address those symptoms, not due to HIV for sure.
