TO: monkeyflower, mike, teak or anyone else...one LAST time

Hey guys...i hope you can just take a minute to read this.

I just want to say thank you for all your opinions and advice, which I am actually taking now; I am going to get off the internet (including this site) and get on with my life. I am not being fair to myself by being so anxious and paranoid all the time. I am a young girl (20) and all of this is really messing up the best past of my life.

Just one more opinion and I promise no more WW questions:

About a month after my 4 month negative test, my current boyfriend (the one I was having problems with, and thats why I hooked up with another guy) got sick and it lasted for about 4 or 5 days.  His symptoms came on pretty sudden. He had chills, weakness, a cough, his head was congested, a sore throat and possibly a fever but I am not sure. Now, I am just curious (b/c thinking this, my mind wanders not knowing if my negative test didnt pick it up or something) if all of these symptoms together are consistent with ARS. Or do you usually get them one by one or do the symptoms with ARS include more various ones?

I just want to know b/c of course I feel guilty and scared if I gave anything to him. So please, just give me some advice on why he got sick like this. could it be ARS? the flu? Please give me as much detail and advice as you can.

All I need is reassurance about this one last thing and I promise, I will forget about my HIV phobia and get on with my life and concentrate on college. I want to thank EVERYONE on this website. You helped me so much.

-not so "troubled" anymore

a 4 month negative test? and you're still worried about HIV? umm, things don't work that way in this world. u tested negative weeks after the recommended conclusive date, you're perfectly HIV FREE. u reelie need to deal with you're anxiety and nervousness... unless u want to attribute every cold or illness to HIV... and that would be outlandish... in fact you;re going to make yourself sick by stressing out this way. well goodluck.

You're negative right?  It'd be impossible to give him something you don't have.  Unless you actually gave him the flu or a bad cold.  Respiratory infections are incredibly common and easily transmitted.  From what I read, HIV is not.  Again, if you're negative then you needn't worry about it.
