could i be at risk for HIV

Hello doctor,  I am a 27 yr old heterosexual female.  Recently I ran into an old boyfriend of mine. We hung out and ended up going back to his place. We drank a little and began to engage in a lot of rubbing and frottage however, after about 5 minutes of the rubbing I felt him penetrate me with his penis. I asked him what was he doing, his reply was that he trusted me. I told him to get off of me and that unlesss we used a condom I was leaving. He went out and bought a box and we preceeded to have sex. My question to you is what are my risk for HIV,  his penis wasn't in very long(seconds maybe) but it definately was in so I am worried. I get tested every year. My last test was negative for hiv and other stds. Please help me out as I am really nervous/scared.  Thank you!

it is very unlikely that he even has hiv

i seriously doubt that you have much to worry about, but you should test to know your status.

a duo test at 4 weeks or an antibody test at 6 weeks will give you a very good indication of your status.  if negative, test again at 3 months for a conclusive result.

No, a test would not be able to pick it up at 3 weeks.

So I'm 3 weeks post exposure and today I feel pain under my arm where my lymph nodes are. However, it's not swollen just pain. I'm freaking out because I know these are one of the signs of hiv infection. I took an elisa test yesterday but I'm not sure if it will pick up an infection this early. Please give me some advice on this I really feel like I'm going to lose my mind. Would the test be able to pick up an infection at this point?

Hi Teak, I've been going through med pages and see that you are very knowledgeable when it comes to HIV prevention/transmission just wondering if you could read my previous post and tell me what you think about the risk of contracting hiv in my last encounter. Thank you.
